My name may sound like a girl but I’m actually a boy – and a handsome one at that! I lived with my mom for 18 months and she said I was a “great cat” 95% of the time. I was very affectionate and loved to play with feather toys and lasers, but every now and again when I’d had enough “human time” I’d let her know by being “mouthy” (that’s not at all uncommon in declawed cats, you know), so she decided a new start in a new home might be best for me. If you’re a “cat reader” and recognize when I’ve reached my “togetherness” limit, I’ll bet we can turn that 95 into 100%!

What has four legs, a tail, and an adorable face? Me! I’m a young Lab mix female, and in my active world, if fun isn’t happening, I’ll make some. Of course, people do have rules about activities and I was too high-spirited in my first home, especially for the 1-year-old. (Their cat and I got along “all right.”) So now I’m doing something called “training,” and even that’s fun for me. Still in the puppy category (born in September 2017), I have lots of energy and lots to learn, although I already know that happy humans make for a happy home, so I’m going to try my very best to please. My name tells part of my story because for six happy years, my person and I were best buddies. His death turned my world upside down. And although his widow was good to me—putting down throw rugs so I could walk on the shiniest tile—she’s moving out of state, so I’m here all alone. Thankfully, my sweet, easy-going nature has helped me make friends. I love our playtime and daily walks because I always enjoy the company of gentle people. Sometimes they say words I know, like “sit,” “wait,” and “jacket,” (which apparently means “put your foot in the halter”), but my greatest talent is being a buddy. I’m an 18-pound Chihuahua/Dachshund mix male, and at 8 years old, I could be your great buddy for a long time to come.
