Hi… my name is Marcus,

Adopted March 24, 2016

My senior mom was one of those people who stray cats just seem to “find”! That’s how my friends, Mario, Andre, and I came to live with her (people like her must radiate a come hither “aura” for cats in need!). Unfortunately, she went into assisted living and there was no one else to take us in, so our carefree life changed in a big way. We’re all still young however, and even though it takes some felines longer to adjust to different situations than others, we’re adaptable critters at heart, and I know that we’ll learn to share our love with someone new in no time. We love playing with balls, a laser pointer, and ribbons (pretty “cheap dates”!), so won’t you let one (or two?) of us snuggle our way into your heart?

I love playing and get along great with other cats – especially my friend Buster – so a combined adoption would make our dreams come true!

Hi… my name is Mouse,

Adopted January 18, 2016

What’s more spectacular than an almost all black cat with stand-up-and-shout white antenna-like whiskers? Not much — expect maybe my awesome personality! With my white bib, white paws, emerald green eyes, and the sheen of my silky fur, I’m betting you’ll agree that I’m a pretty irresistible package! A young couple found me on a street in Sahuarita, and while they cared for me they said I loved playing with balls, toys, and pretty much “anything you give her.” I also got along okay with their dogs and did all the charming kitten things that we teenagers still do, so I guess there’s not much else I can say to toot my own horn except that if you plop me in your lap for a chat, we can discuss our options even further!

Hi… my name is Arnie,

Adopted April 16, 2016

You know things can get better when you’re found by someone’s trash cans. That’s what happened to me, so no surprise that when she opened her car door to bring me to TALGV, I jumped right in. Enjoying good food and safe shelter has been great, and I’m learning there’s even more good stuff in life! My human friends really like the way I walk well on a leash, and I’m glad to mind what they say. I’m learning how to play just for the fun of it, and they’re teaching me more good dog manners, too. I’m a well-behaved black and white American Staffordshire Terrier mix male, about 38 pounds, and I’m sure the best is yet to come–when I share love and a forever home with you!

Hi… my name is Mello,

Adopted January 24, 2016

Everyone’s trying to decide which I am – a Snowshoe or a Ragdoll – but in either case, you can bet I live up to the captivating traits of both (which are pretty similar actually!). I love people, have lived with two dogs, and until recently when the older one started to dominate and intimidate me, got along fine with them. My mom said, “Mello is a warm, loving lady who enjoys being brushed and will sit in your lap and watch TV for hours.” (She also said that I’d love to sleep in bed with you if allowed – which I wasn’t – I think that honor “went to the dogs”!) At any rate, my name says it all, so if you give me a chance, I’ll fill your house with affection – one purr at a time!

Hi… my name is Sadie,

Adopted January 29, 2016

Yep. Under this fluffy mountain of fur beats a heart of pure gold that’s aching to share the love in another peaceful home! My senior mom’s health deteriorated so much that she simply couldn’t care for my friend, Peaches, or me any longer. As the volunteers can tell you, I needed lots of grooming when I arrived – my glorious coat was matted and my ears needed serious attention – but now that I’m being attended to (gently – there’s a lot of “remedial work” needing to be done!), my beauty is becoming more evident each day. I’ve always been a quiet lady, but do love to be with my person – in bed or on the sofa – so a chance to be a comforting, gentle companion to you is the stuff my dreams are made of!
