RK

Hi… my name is RK.

Adopted June 22, 2015.

“RK is a very curious, intelligent, remarkable cat. He loves people and wants to be around his friends (cats and dogs). RK is a unique fellow who deserves lots of love. He likes people, ear scratches, and helping with chores. He is smart, loyal, and loving.” WHOA — what more can I add to that? I appeared on the doorstep of a family a year ago and they’ve been feeding me outside ever since. Because they didn’t have room in the house for any more rescues, they wanted me to have a safer environment (I’m pretty bold with unknown “critters” they say), so they brought me here when space opened up. I’m a young classic tabby and white boy who, as the song says, will “brighten the corner where you are”!

Hi… my name is Simon.

Adopted December 29, 2014.

My brother, Oliver, and I were happy as clams until the little boy in our house developed severe allergies, so — well, you know the story. Our mom wrote a TON of good stuff about our habits and behavior, but here’s a sampling: “Simon seems to be the boss. He is more independent, laidback, and reserved with strangers, but eventually comes to check things out. He loves to be near Oliver, sleep under the bed, on top of clothes, inside luggage — the usual cat behaviors. He has a non-aggressive personality, loves to be petted on top of his head, and LOVES to eat!” Well, that should whet YOUR appetite for more, so come read all about me — I’m a 3½-year-old grey tabby & white guy sitting here just waiting for you!

Hi… my name is Bridget.

Adopted September 24, 2015

Bridget comes with Free Vet Care for Life.

My mom was a long-time volunteer at TALGV and was “into” calicos as she had five of us (all adoptees of course!), so it was comforting for her when she went assisted living to know there would be no better place to care for us. Although I’m not a “true” calico, I’m an unusual Torbie (that’s a mix of calico and tabby), so I’m special in my very own way! I was always the shyest of my family group, but I’m pretty sure that when I don’t have so many felines vying for attention, I’ll be the sweet “people person” I’m meant to be, so won’t you please give me a second chance? Oh, and by the way, since I’ve just “celebrated” my 10-year birthday, I now come with Free Vet Care for Life!

Hi… my name is Kitty Kat.

Adopted January 4, 2015.

Check out my paws! If you didn’t know better you’d swear I’d been sloshing through a bowl of whipped cream! Well, in my dreams anyway! My little family moved to a new apartment and couldn’t afford the pet deposit for me and my kittens, so here I am — ready to move in with someone already established and in need of feline companionship. I’m just a youngster myself at, and I’m said to be gentle with kids, get along with (nice!) dogs, “sleep anywhere” and “eat a lot” (maybe because I was feeding my kids!). In any case, the “bottom line” is that you’ll wonder what on earth you did before Kitty Kat (or whatever you’d like to call me) entered your life!

Hi… my name is Angel.

Adopted October 18, 2014.

You can tell that I’ve got quite a bit of Siamese in my genes as I’ve got one crossed eye and a silvery hue to my tabby markings. And of course I’ve got that great personality too — I love people, attention (especially ear and chin scratches), and sharing my affection. When my mom died, there was no family that was able take me in, so I’ve got my baby blues out for another quiet home where I can continue that tradition. I’m a bit on the plus size at the moment, so a diet might be just the thing to slim me down to the perfect lap size. I’m a declawed lady with a peaceful spirit that I’m yearning to share with you.

Arrived September 20, 2014.

Hi… my name is Bugger.

Adopted November 20, 2014.

If you’re looking for a cat that you can carry around like a baby, your search is over! There aren’t many felines that enjoy that mode of transport, so I’m pretty unusual in that respect! When my mom lost her home, she had no one who could take me in ‘til she found a new one, so she sadly had to relinquish me. She’s written a whole bunch of good stuff about me, so I’ll just give you the bare bones: I get along great with kids, dogs, and (nice!) cats. I love ice water, looking out windows, sitting in sunrooms (the fresh air, you know!), and being with my person. I’m a tabby and white “tub of love” who’s sure to be your best friend in no time!

Hi… my name is Bond, James Bond.

I was adopted September 16, 2014.

When I was a kitten, a Good Samaritan found me in distress on I19 and he took me into his car, gave me water, and made sure that the air conditioning was going full blast! I don’t know what would have happened if my planets hadn’t been in the right alignment! I was adopted in no time, but after three years, my mom’s allergies finally won out over my sparkling personality, so I’m “on the market” again. Dad said that I’m laid back, but still playful, friendly, and lovable with everyone, and like to sleep everywhere. I’m a delightful, declawed mix of white with tabby splotches, and have a black smudge on my nose that will win your heart. Well, you’re not going to fall in love unless you meet me, so get in your car NOW!

Hi… my name is Waffles.

Adopted January 4, 2015.

When you’re unceremoniously deposited on a doorstep with your newborn kittens, it’s pretty scary I’ll tell you! OK — better to be left there than in the desert, but still… Fortunately, TALGV has some wonderful volunteers who are willing to foster infant kittens (with or without their moms), so I went with one of them until my babies (Yogurt, Oatmeal, and Bagel, the “Breakfast Litter”) were old enough to be adopted. And now it’s MY turn to be in the spotlight instead of those oh-so-adorable (and rambunctious) kids of mine! I’m a sweet, love-everyone young jade-eyed tabby and white teenager, and since I’m no longer in the kitten production business, I can devote all my time and affection to just you! Doesn’t that sound like a plan?

Arrived August 27, 2014.
