Hi… my name is Amor,

Adopted April 26, 2016

To see us cuddle and play, you might think my siblings and I have had only fun days, but our lives started with a struggle. After a difficult delivery, our mother couldn’t care for us and bottle-feeding wasn’t working. Just when things looked desperate, a small mother dog appeared! Her own puppies weren’t found, but she accepted us instead, making us three very lucky pups! Today we’re thriving, running and playing, sometimes falling all over ourselves. Our biological mom was an Otterhound mix, so that’s a hint of what we’ll look like. And, of course, we’re all adorable. I’m a female pup, black and tan with white markings on my head, neck, chest and each paw, and I have a whole lot of puppy love to give. How about I give it to you!

Hi… my name is Pearl,

Adopted June 7, 2016

I’m a happy, enthusiastic girl despite losing my first home through no fault of my own.   My person wanted to keep me, but the landlord wouldn’t allow it. She still really wanted me, so I was kind of “on hold” for a while, but eventually it became clear that I must have a new place to live. So, here I am, putting on my best smile and looking forward to a happy future. I’m what people call “optimistic.” I’m also pretty smart, according to the volunteers, so with some human help, I could become a well-trained companion. I’m a 40 pounds female Pointer mix,  white with some cool tan markings (especially around my eyes). Please come for a visit and I’ll show you what a fun-loving friend I can be.

Hi… my name is Ginger,
Adopted April 2, 2016

When I was just 3 months old, my mom left me in a wash. Before anything worse could happen, some humans found me and eventually brought me to TALGV. While with them, they said, I enjoyed playing with children and got along with cats, but was slow to warm up to men. I’m 22.8 pounds, a 5-month-old female Sharpei mix with a smooth tan coat and a sweet, quiet disposition. For fun, my favorite things are playing in water, playing with dogs I know and like, and cuddling with gentle people. I’m still very shy at first, but making progress with my patient friends, so if you could love a bashful but extraordinary pup like me and help me become the wonderful grownup dog I’m bound to be, please come meet me today.

Ray

Hi… my name is Ray,

Adopted March 25, 2016

I’m one lucky puppy in a litter of lucky pups, but that wasn’t always the case. My siblings and I weren’t welcome where we were born and we might have ended up trying to fend for ourselves (which conjures up scary thoughts of dangerous things). Instead, we were brought to this wonderful place, where we’re safe, cherished, served nutritious food and taught things dogs need to know. Turns out puppy life can be comfy and fun! Yes, puppies require lots of love and care to help us grow, but we also brighten your world as only puppy love and joy can. Please come share our happiness. I’m Ray, a good-looking 3-month-old Shepherd mix male, black with tan and white markings, and I’m hoping you’ll like me so much you’ll want to take me home!

Hi… my name is Luke,

I’m one lucky puppy in a lucky litter, but it wasn’t always that way. My siblings and I were not welcome where we were born and it looked like we might end up trying to fend for ourselves (which conjures up scary thoughts of dangerous things). Instead, we were brought to this wonderful place, where we’re safe, cherished, served nutritious food and taught things dogs need to know. Turns out puppy life can be comfy and fun! My siblings and I would love to share our happiness with you; people say it’s fun just to watch us play, and I hope you’ll look for me especially. I’m Luke, a good-looking 3-month-old Shepherd mix male, all tan and completely adorable. If you give me a forever home, I’ll give you my whole lifetime of love!

Hi… my name is Guero,

Adopted 11-14-16

Guero has earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

When my family split up, moved and couldn’t take me, I was heartbroken. In my way, I shed doggie tears about that and was actually shaking when I arrived at TALGV. But that was then. Today, I’m back to being the real me: Loveable and loyal, playful but calm, and a true champ of good behavior. In fact, I’ve been awarded the coveted AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate because I perform so well on some important behavior challenges. (Yes, this includes minding commands like sit, down, stay, heel, and lots more.) I’ve made good friends here—people and dogs—but I’m the kind of guy who really needs to belong to somebody. A nice medium size, I’d fit well in many households and in all hearts—including yours. How about we become family today!

Hi… my name is Yale,

Adopted March 18, 2016

Back on a cold winter’s day, a wonderful person rescued our mom. Then, suddenly, there were eight more of us! Now, our mom—a real hero to her babies—is having a spay procedure, and we’re here, discovering important new puppy things every day. We’re getting good at eating and drinking on our own, playing for fun, and being a little independent; that is, standing on our own four feet, even if we still roll over and sleep on each other sometimes. I’m Yale, a good-looking tan and white male, who’s ready for the next big step—finding a home of my own where I’ll be taught more important things, cuddled regularly on a daily basis, and loved forever. If you’re ready to give puppy love and care, please reach out for me today!
