Hi… my name is Bella,

Adopted 4-21-20

I was found with burned paws and cactus needles in my coat. My kind finders brought me to TALGV, and, boy, this is a great place for lots of attention and yummy food! Now I’m spending time with Foster Mom, who says I am wonderful, sweet, and obedient. I know my Staffie look might sometimes be scary, but I am so gentle, especially when taking treats from you. I’ll alert you when I need to go out, and I can be trusted when left alone inside. My favorite activities include watching TV on the couch with you, lying in the sun, and watching people and their dogs walk by (without barking). Wouldn’t you love to have a beautiful, mellow girl like me? Please come visit me and see how much love I have to give.

Hi… my name is Reddit,

Adopted 5-28-20

I was brought into TALGV looking a little rough, so don’t judge the book by its cover. The folks here have been oohing and aahing over me since I got here. I am very people motivated, friendly, and definitely affectionate. I greet everyone coming in with gentle enthusiasm so they can get used to me. I know having that Staffie look sometimes scares folks, but once you meet me, I will definitely change your mind. I have gorgeous golden eyes and a caramel-colored coat with white markings. I am one lucky dog. I got the looks, the manners (except I don’t like cats and small dogs), and all the love you can handle all in one fabulous package. Now I just need my someone special to share all that love. Would that be you?

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

You mightn’t know it, but being held is not usually a “thing” for cats, mainly because we’re insecure when not “in control.” Gentle head scratches is right up there in the “yes” department though, so if you don’t have an overwhelming urge to embrace, I might be for you! Looks though? That’s a big “yes”! Vet care support for life? Another “yes.” Other animals? That’s a big “NO”! I lived with my dad all of my 11 years, but when he moved in with his new wife and her menagerie, well, life wasn’t that bed of roses I’d signed on for, so now’s the time to help me start anew as your one and only!

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

Two years ago, when my person died, a friend of hers took me in. But then she couldn’t take care of me any longer either, and so I didn’t know what to expect. I’m not a puppy anymore. I’ve had to say good-bye twice. What if no one new wanted me? And then—presto! I came to TALGV and now my future is bright again. The volunteers say I’m exactly the kind of dog a lot of people could love—a little gray Poodle male, just 11 pounds but lively, too. I get happily excited at walk time and love human companionship. (You may see my smile.) And at age 11, I come with free vet care for life! I’m ready for a nice long happily ever after. How about I share it with you?

Hi… my name is Hooch,

Adopted April 23, 2016

When I somehow ended up dodging cars in traffic, things looked dire for me. But, just in the nick of time, a kind human came to my rescue and brought me to TALGV. Even in this safe place, I was shy at first, but I’ve learned that the people here want only the best for me. They think I have the makings of a great companion because once over my shyness, I’m alert, smart, and playful. I’m a 1-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, a handsome guy in my eye-catching merle pattern coat and athletic build, weighing in at about 44 pounds. If you could go for an active, affectionate and devoted buddy, we really should get together. With me by your side, I just know there are lots of happy trails ahead for us!

Hi… my name is Topsy,

Adopted November 7, 2015

When I first arrived with my friend Turvy, everyone thought we were kittens we were so small. Well, size doesn’t always tell the whole story, as apparently we’d both had babies of our own (just goes to remind you that we felines can have kittens any time after six months of age, so spay, spay, spay!!), but it turned out I’m actually about a year old (but certainly still fit the “kitten” category!). We were wandering the Los Arroyos neighborhood and were taken care of by a nice lady who kept our babies but just couldn’t manage us, too. I’m a beautiful combination of Siamese and silver tabby, and if you think a small, blue-eyed charmer would fit your life style (and lap!) then I’m the “real deal”!
