One thing humans should realize is that at a certain age, puppies (like children) will test their limits! I’m an approximately 6-month-old Staffie mix girl and I’m definitely at that age. Just by looking at me, besides being adorable, you can tell that I’m full of mischief. The people who adopted me three months ago must have underestimated how much energy a growing puppy like me can have. After being oriented to the TALGV play yard, I met and played with two new friends, while quickly learning a lot. I know I’ll be attending classes on the basic commands, walking and socializing. Like all youngsters, I need someone with a firm, loving hand who can give me guidance. Once you get me through these formative years, I’ll be yours forever!

NOTE: Shiloh has been social, tolerant, and playful when meeting other dogs in TALGV’s playgroup. She would like to meet any resident dogs before adoption to your home.

Timber

Hi… my name is Timber,

Did you look at my pictures? My handsome head, the soft ears, the quiet gaze? Mom was kinda secretive about our dad, and I don’t remember much about what she looked like either, but a bit of St. Bernard and perhaps some Springer Spaniel? Here they say that’s how I act: sweet and gentle. I like almost everybody who comes to visit me. Give me a minute to sniff you out, and I’m ready to have my soft ears scratched! I already know a few commands and walk pretty well on a leash, but was told that I need to learn some more. Bring it on, I say! That and a yard to play in, perhaps with a doggie sibling? But most importantly, a forever family of my own.

I am a petite young lady who was brought to The Animal League along with my kittens. They are all finding homes of their own which pleases me. I am longing for my own home of safety and love. As a stray, not much is known about my life. However, the comforts of meals and a bed, plus kind volunteers petting me is something I really appreciate! My lady friend was in a family way so we found just the right apartment where a nice lady took us in. After the kittens were born she brought us all to The Animal League where we are getting excellent care. With the family in good hands, I’m looking for a nice home. I’m pretty shy and will hiss sometimes. The volunteers here are working with me and I’m getting more comfortable with being touched. I have a sweet face that shows I’m interested in people, but I need the courage to get close. The right person could draw me out. Would that special someone be you? I promise to try!

I was just a 1-year-old youngster when I was adopted from TALGV six years ago. Then my “dad” passed away. His family, even though they tried, couldn’t keep me. Now I’m hoping to find a new “forever” home. I’ve been gentle and tolerant around children ranging in ages from 2 to 14. I’m leash and house trained, know how to “sit” and “lay,” can use a doggie door, and ask to “go potty.” I’ve already enjoyed visiting the TALGV play yard, but have yet to be introduced to a neighbor who can meet me for a playdate. I enjoy my daily walks.They’re helping me regain my girlish figure, plus I get to spend time with the volunteers. What girl doesn’t like attention? Now it’s my turn to get YOUR attention.
