Maybe someone was being cute when they named me Little Kitty (I was 14 pounds when I arrived), but I’ve learned that humans have a weird sense of humor sometimes! I’ve had a couple of moms who both had to relinquish me for health reasons. I’m a reserved lady who’d love a quiet home where I’m the only pet. I’ve been praised as very loving, but want to give you affection on my schedule. I’m shy and am still warming up to attention from the volunteers. I LOVE treats. I’ve passed the age milestone for Vet Care Support for Life, so I’m hopeful that gives you another reason to make me yours!

Maxine

I recently stayed in a foster home in close proximity with the two resident cats. What can I say! Everything was copacetic. I love and enjoy human companionship and spending time outside, especially going for walks. Since I’m quite strong, I’ll need a walker who can take charge. I’m not aggressive but can get excited when I meet other dogs. Maybe I just want to play! Who knows, I might even enjoy a canine companion in my next home. We’ll see! Because I can jump high, I’ll need a secure yard. In the house I’m quiet and well behaved and love to relax on my bed. I’m also house trained, and I know and understand the basic commands. I’m wishing for my long-awaited “forever home,” and YOU could be the one to grant that wish!

NOTE: Maxine has been social, tolerant, and playful when meeting other dogs in TALGV’s playgroup. She would like to meet any resident dogs before adoption to your home.

I’m a 12-year-old male Papillon, and I really love people. I’ve shared my home with six other animals, which include a cat, birds, and even a Shetland. It’s not known how I behave with children since it seems I’ve never been around them. I do know how to use a doggie door, but lately my mom has been unable to care for me or let me out at night. A brush up on “potty protocol” will probably be necessary. My mom did say I’m crate and leash trained! Since I’m in my senior years, it’s good to know that I have Vet Care Support for Life. Now that I’m looking for my “forever home,” I’m hoping you might be interested in sharing yours. I don’t require much, just the basic things in life and LOVE.

MIA is a happy, energetic, and social 4-year-old, 48-pound Siberian Husky female whose owner is no longer able to care for her. She is crate trained, leash trained, house trained (asks to go out), and obedience trained (knows 10 commands). She is in good health, spayed, up to date on shots and medical records are available. Mia gets along with other dogs, cats, and children. She loves to play, hanging out with people, and going for walks. There is no adoption fee. I’m a very friendly, outgoing chap who loves everybody, and it seems everybody loves me. No brag…just fact! I’ve also been good with children (ages 2, 4, 5, and 6). It’s been mentioned I’m not good with small dogs, and I definitely don’t like cats, especially after one recently scratched and injured my eye. I’m still getting treatment! I’m not crazy about the heat, but I do love going for walks and car rides. I enjoy spa treatments (baths), but hate water hoses. I’m leash trained, good in the house when left alone, and can use a doggy door. I know the commands “sit,” “stay,” and “come.” I’m very affectionate and enjoy attention. Instead of just living the “life of” Riley, why don’t you take me home and live your “life with” Riley!
