Sonny

Hi… my name is Sonny, Adopted 5-21-18 When I was lost, running down Nogales Highway with another lost dog, my immediate needs were basic: A safe place to rest, food, and—number one—water. I was so thirsty! When someone stopped to help us, I was shyer than the other dog but equally relieved to be rescued […]

Cher

Hi… my name is Cher, Adopted 3-31-18 When I was lost, running down Nogales Highway, my immediate needs were pretty basic: A safe place to rest, food, and—number one—water. I was so thirsty! Settling in here with my own water dish, food, and a comfy bed was a tremendous relief. And now I can focus […]

Coco

Hi… my name is Coco, Adopted 2-20-18 I was found in the shadow of Mount Hopkins, sitting in the shade and probably looking very peaceful because I am a sweet, harmonious kind of dog. However, on that day, my finders reported I was very thirsty, hungry, and limping a bit. I welcomed that rescue with […]

Stormy

Hi… my name is Stormy, Adopted 3-3-18 When I was found on a road—such a dangerous place for a dog without a person to guide and protect her—it appeared I’d been “out” for a while. My coat was very dirty and the healing scratches across the bridge of my nose might have been bite marks. […]

Havi

Hi… my name is Havi, Adopted 3-10-19 Even though I don’t have a home right now, I’m a happy, hopeful dog. After all, I was once lost, running loose and almost hit by a car, when strangers stepped up to rescue me. Good things do happen! And while I’m watching and hoping for my forever […]

Missy

Hi… my name is Missy, Adopted 3-4-18 When I arrived, they gave me a comfy bed, food and water, and said I could take time to just “settle.” Between you and me, I “froze.” On that first day, I hardly moved. Here’s why: I’d been rescued from the interstate after dodging traffic for at least […]

Lea

Hi… my name is Lea, Adopted 3-17-18 My finder said that one day I just walked into their yard. We don’t know how I came to be lost, but I was lucky to have walked into that yard because those kind people brought me here. (I might have stayed longer with them, but I was […]

Rukus

Hi… my name is Rukus, Adopted 2-3-18 Rukus has earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate. If you love dogs (and I’m guessing you do), you understand the heartache of being what’s called an “unwanted” dog. It wasn’t about me, really—my person loved me. She got me as a puppy, said I grew up to […]

Bogart

Hi… my name is Bogart, Adopted 10-27-18 I was named after actor Humphrey Bogart because I’m the leading man type—handsome, charming, and strong. But since I’m a dog, it’s probably equally important that I’ve been described as well-mannered, good in the house when left alone, and leash-trained. I also like to be friendly, affectionate, and […]

Henry

Hi… my name is Henry, Adopted 12-31-17 I was a lost dog—no home, no family, no promise of food or water—until a Good Samaritan rescued me. What a relief! She brought me here to TALGV, where people appreciate the way I’m gentle and good-natured, curious about other dogs but generally not dog reactive on my […]
