Blue eyes, mocha and cream fur, petite size, and sweet personality – what more could you want? Oh, I also lived with other cats, dogs, and kids. Although mom (who was moving to a place that didn’t allow pets) said that I can be initially shy, all you have to do is take a seat and talk to me a bit (on the floor is nice if you’re limber enough ‘cause I won’t have that far to go reach your lap!), and I’ll be yours! I’m also curious about everything so of course love exploring (well, I’m only 3 years old, so the world’s my oyster). Like the “S” on Superman’s shirt, the perfect “U” on my forehead says I’m really something unique! And what my rescuers had to say sums it up: “Loader would make a great pet for children, a person looking for comfort and companionship, or someone’s first cat. He’s good with everyone, wasn’t nervous around my two cats or dog, and wants nothing more than to be indoors with the family. He greets us when we arrive and will come when called. He’s just a super sweet guy who’d make a great ‘therapy cat’!” My only “minus” is that I’m FIV positive (but have free vet care in case I need it), so must be an only cat (or live with another FIV feline). GIZMO is an adorable, sweet, and affectionate, 2-year-old, 12-pound terrier mix male that needs to find a new home since family has very little time to give him. He is neutered and healthy; shots are up to date. He gets along with kids but other dogs and cats are unknown. He is crate trained (short periods), knows a few commands, and is used to a doggy door. Training has been minimal but Gizmo wants to please so he should be a fast learner. He just needs someone to love him. RILEY is a smart, quiet, and affectionate 14-pound 7-month-old male Schnauzer/terrier mix who was given to owners about a month ago. They think highly of him but do not have the time needed to devote to a puppy. He is housebroken, uses a doggy door and is working on leash training. Riley is okay with other dogs; cats and children are unknown. He has been neutered and is up to date with his shots. He is friendly and enjoys being brushed. There is no adoption fee.

Silver and gold – who doesn’t like that combination? I make quite an impression with my silvery tabby fur and golden eyes, and even more of one when you get to know me! Although I’ve been roaming free with lots of other cats way out in the hinterlands, now that I’m safe I’m looking forward to lots of “us” time in a secure new home with my own person. They say that I’m really friendly, but sometimes you have to “talk and croon” to me to let me know cuddle time is near. Even though I don’t have a home right now, I’m a happy, hopeful dog. After all, I was once lost, running loose and almost hit by a car, when strangers stepped up to rescue me. Good things do happen! And while I’m watching and hoping for my forever someone, I’m making friends here—I peacefully shared my run with another dog, and the volunteers compliment me for being attentive, affectionate, and lots of fun. A young adult (born in 2016), and slender (about 46 pounds), I’m an energetic, tan and white Boxer/Staffie mix male who equally loves playtime and belly rubs followed by naps. When you first meet me, your first thought might be, “Oh Granny, what big ears you have”! Well, OK, never mind that I’m a guy, you get the idea! And then there’s the handsome silky grey and white coat and rumbly purr that complement the package. I’m a quiet, pretty much one-person fellow (who isn’t awfully fond of men) who’s lived with other cats and a dog all my life. My mom was unable to care for me any longer as she had too many of “the others,” so my aim in life is to find another laid back home and person to call my own. At 15 years of age I have free vet care too, so why not take advantage of a stellar deal and take me home?
