Hi… my name is Quinn,

Adopted 12-31-17

Quinn comes with Free Vet Care for Life

You know a cat’s gotta be pretty desperate to be rescued to venture inside a dog park! But that’s exactly what I did at Quail Creek, and happily for me a kind lady picked me up, plunked me in her dog carrier, and brought me to TALGV. So obviously where I’ve been and what I’ve done in my approximately 10 years of life is an enigma (but my age has earned me free vet care for life!). What’s really obvious, though, is that although I’m fairly reticent at the moment (there’s just so much action going on here!), once you gain my confidence, I really love attention and have a nonstop purr while I’m getting it! I’ll bet with a little patience, there’ll be lots more great things you’ll discover about me!

Hi… my name is Khaleesi,

Adopted with Sasha 3-3-18

When you hear the term “old blue eyes” you probably think of Frank Sinatra, but that’s me too as that’s probably the first thing you’ll see when you meet me (except for the “old” part – I’m just a 1-year-old)! The next things will be my diminutive stature, beautiful white coat (with perky grey tabby ears), and my sparkling “love-everyone” personality. My three kittens and I were found when they were only a few weeks old so we lived with a foster mom for a while, but now that they’re off to their new homes, I’m sitting here just whiling away the hours until my very own “special someone” comes looking for companionship and finds ME! That’s sure to be a banner day for both of us!

Hi… my name is Amarie,

Adopted with Anissa 10-3-17

Thank goodness for the kindness of strangers! When my owner decided she didn’t want my housemate (and maybe sister), Anissa, and me any longer, she just plunked us outside to fend for ourselves. Fortunately, a kindly neighbor convinced her to sign the paperwork to relinquish us to TALGV or we’d have been two (pretty small) meals for some hungry coyote or owl by now! When you meet me, you’ll be doubly mystified by her decision because we’re both the sweetest (and chatty!) little things you’ll ever meet. I’m an enchanting creamy Siamese girl, only about a year old, and I promise that if you take me home, your life will be filled with nothing but purrs, rubs, and grateful love.

Hi… my name is Oliver,

Adopted 1-2-18

My dad “absconded” to North Carolina and left my housemates, Gizmo, Peanut, Jake, Jasper, and me behind with his father-in-law (who unfortunately was not in the market for cats!). Well I can tell you one thing, once you meet us, you’ll wonder what on earth ever possessed him, because we are five of the most lovable and “handle-able” critters you’ll ever meet! I’m a 5-year-old tabby boy, and of course having lived with other felines, I’m pretty adaptable to most any situation. I’d be perfect for an active family with kids (maybe even one with a nice calm dog), so if feline entertainment and companionship were on your “bucket list,” I’d help check that one off!

Hi… my name is Marky,

Adopted 10-6-17

It’s usually stray dogs that follow people home not cats! But me being me (outgoing and in need of shelter) I followed a girl to her home in a Green Valley RV Park, and she quite obligingly gave me food and water. Unfortunately, she couldn’t keep me, so I became a resident of TALGV. Maybe there’s someone out there looking for me (a tearful reunion would be awesome!), but if not, you could make both of us happy by adding me (and my practically non-stop purr!) to your world. At about 5 years old, I’m mature enough not to be one of those crazy, into-everything, kittens, but still up for a romp now and then. Truth be told, though, laps are my “fave” so how about sharing yours with me?

Hi… my name is Jake,

Adopted 8-18-18

When the volunteers say, “It’s MIND BOGGLING why Jake is still here! He’s one of the most outgoing friendly cats we’ve ever seen. He likes people, is really good and bonds with other cats, and loves brushing, petting, and laps.” Whoa! Now THAT’S a ringing endorsement! My dad “absconded” and left my housemates and me behind, and once you meet me, you’ll wonder what on earth ever possessed him! And of course having lived with other felines, I’m pretty adaptable, so I’d be perfect for an active family with kids (maybe even one with a nice calm dog), and if feline entertainment and companionship are on your “bucket list,” I’ll help check that one off!

Hi… my name is Franklin,

Adopted 3-11-18

“Cat found his way into our house through our doggy door – not once, but twice!! Cat is friendly, but we aren’t cat people.” Oh well, their loss (but thank you for rescuing me anyway!). You know for a cat to brave a strange doggy door, he’s got to be pretty desperate – you never know what kind of reception is waiting on the other side – so it’s pretty obvious that I’m yearning to be an indoor kind of guy who’ll never have to wonder where the next meal (or comfy lap) is coming from. I’m a smoky grey and white 3-year-old (or thereabouts!) and I’m hoping that my reward for braving “parts unknown” will be a permanent home with a family that includes lots of “cat people!”

Hi… my name is Canoa,

Adopted 9-17-17

Sometimes being sweet and adorable isn’t enough to keep you safe. I was found alone and vulnerable at the Canoa Ranch Rest Stop—very scared, hungry, with an injured hip, abrasions and lacerations. Wow. Was that really me? Today, I’m a happy guy enjoying comfy, carefree days. The volunteers say I am friendly, get along with other dogs, and I’m very fond of my people friends, too. My wounds have healed and although my hip isn’t perfect, I get around just fine. And through it all, I’ve continued to be sweet and adorable—a fawn-colored, 2-year-old Terrier mix male, 22 pounds, for whom the best is surely yet to come. And I’m hoping here’s where you come into my story, adding what I still need most—love forever and a happily-ever-after home with you.
