Hi…my name is Gypsy,

Adopted 4-8-18

Calling all you “crazy cat guys” out there (versus the usual crazy cat LADY)! For some reason I way prefer men to women so won’t you come check me out? Anyone familiar with the “big-eyed waif” art of Margaret Keane will recognize me immediately – and indeed a “waif” I was! A couple headed for emergency care saw me sitting by the side of the road and despite their hurry, scooped me up and dropped me off here on the way (thank you, nice people!). I think maybe because I’m so slim my eyes really do pop, but that just makes me all the more striking. Add to that my almost-black torti coat (there really is some orange in there!) and you have a girl who’ll knock your socks off.

Hi… my name is Vannie,

Adopted 7-8-17

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

Moving day was also good-bye day for me and the people I’d lived with for many years. There just wasn’t room for all of us at their new place, which was sad, but I prefer to think of it this way: When it comes to being a great companion, I’ve earned lots of “know-how.” I’ve lived peacefully with other dogs and cats, I’m leash trained, and happily welcome affection—I love to be petted. You could say the past years have been a trial run for the forever home of my dreams, where I’ll play fetch, adore my person and cuddle with them every day. I’m a mainly tan, 22-pound Chihuahua mix male, 10-1/2 years old, which means I have FREE Vet Care for life. May I spend my happily ever after with you?

Hi… my name is Sherman,

Adopted 7-8-17

I was a lost dog no one knew. My rescuer saw me wandering a cul-de-sac and brought me here, where people started noticing the special things that make me who I am. First, I’m young—about 10 months old, and a nice size—28 pounds (slender and athletic looking). I’m probably a Shepherd mix, definitely a male, and—even when my ears perk up—a real handsome guy. Although shy at first, I let people pet me, and soon my confidence started to grow. I became the real me—friendly, sweet, and lively. I’m learning how to walk on a leash and other important stuff, but here’s a secret: I’m still a little lonely. I so much want to be the most special thing I can be: Somebody’s dog. Could you be my somebody?

Hi… my name is Tyler,

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

Although my mom was partial to torties (she had three!) she added me to the mix anyway because I’m so “in-your-face” friendly! I might be a bit subdued at the moment since she went into a nursing home and my life has been turned upside down, but just spend some time with me and you’ll see how much attention and petting I really crave. I have to be honest and tell you that according to mom I “gave the girls grief,” so maybe I’d do best as an “only child.” I’m an 11-year old gentleman who comes with free vet care, so it sure would be grand if you’d take me home and let me get back to the important business of being your constant companion.

Hi… my name is Toby,

Adopted 8-29-17

For being about a year old, I’m a pretty doggone skinny girl! I’d like to think of myself as “slender and willowy,” but truth be told, I think I’m just in need of a lot of nourishment and lots of TLC! When I was found with my sister, Tinker, way out in the boonies, I wasn’t as “beat up” as she was, but still had quite a few other souvenirs of life in the wild, so I’m guessing I’ve had a pretty rough time of it lately. But I’m young and resilient and have eight more lives to go, so I know with the ministrations of the volunteers, in no time at all I’ll be fit as a fiddle and ready for a safe loving home to call my own!

Hi… my name is Queenie,

Adopted 3-31-18

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

It’s pretty obvious that my mom was fond of torties ‘cause she had three of us! And despite what you might have heard about standoffish “tortitude,” we’re all just as loving and affectionate as can be. Oh, we’re pretty frightened at the moment since mom went into a skilled nursing facility and our lives have been turned upside down, but just sit and spend some time with us and you’ll see how much attention and petting we really crave. I’m a 15-year old lady who comes with free vet care, so it sure would be grand if you’d take me home (maybe with one of my housemates?) and let me get back to the important business of being your constant companion.

Hi… my name is Brave,

Adopted 8-19-17

Here’s me according to my mom: “Aggressive with cats and small animals, but okay with medium/larger dogs. Loves to play with all kinds of toys, mice, lasers, and stuffed animals. Very vocal and affectionate with people he knows and will follow you around the house like a dog.” And since I’m a Bengal cat, I might also add that I’m an athlete: agile and graceful with a strong, muscular body, as befits a cat that looks as if he belongs in the jungle (that’s from my breed “specifications” on the Internet!). But I didn’t just make that up – I am all of those things and more, so come meet me to see what a wonder we “jungle cats” can be!
