Hi… my name is Search,

Adopted 2-23-19

Comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

When a door closes on one part of your life, you hope for the miracle of another one opening on a new beginning. At 18 years old, I’m “a smidge” past the prime of my life, but you know what they say, everyone gets a turn at blushing youth, but at the end of the day looks aren’t worth much – it’s experience that counts! My dad couldn’t care for me any longer so the good folks here are doing their best to be sure I find a loving home with someone who understands the needs of us “senior” folk (my free vet care will help with that too!). All I ask is someone to share life’s slower pace (and a lap!) with and I’ll be happy!

Hi… my name is Raggio,

Adopted 6-22-17

I feel like I have “revolving door syndrome”! My dad took my housemate, Mido, and me from my first family when they were transferred and only had us three weeks before bringing us to TALGV. To be fair, he did try (and said that I had a “good temperament”), but three weeks just isn’t enough time for most cats to adjust to new circumstances, so I’m hoping another family will be more patient and let me prove that I really can be a companion extraordinaire! I’m a 5-year-old uniquely marked, “greige” (that’s a lovely combo of grey and beige!) boy who’ll reward you in manifold ways if you will just give me a chance. Life’s all about chances, so why not take one with me?

Hi… my name is Ellie,

Adopted 7-1-17

A lady arrived to clean what she thought was a vacant house, but guess who was there? Two little dogs—Bernie and me! After that, we lived in a home with eight children and I was well behaved with those kids, but the landlord said it was too crowded. (Also, there was some trouble with dogs getting along, although we can’t say who instigated it.) In any event, this winding road brought me here and I’m pretty excited because friends say the next step is a forever home—a place full of love and happiness! Sounds perfect to me! I’m a tan 1-year-old female, 25 pounds, probably a Hound mix and definitely adorable. My legs are short, my body is long, and my biggest dream is a loving home with someone wonderful like you.

Hi… my name is Bernie,

Adopted 1-12-18

Give me a little time to get to know you and we could both be making a new friend. I’m a guy who was left abandoned in an empty rental home, and that rough beginning took its toll on my self-confidence. As a result, I may be “a lot of bark” when we first meet, but that’s all bluff and bluster. In a home environment, I can become my true self—relaxed, quiet, more than willing to share your couch. Shelter friends say I appear to be housebroken and definitely enjoy car rides. As for other dogs, I prefer females—they just bring out the best in me. I’m a slender, young adult Hound mix male, small to medium size, and if you give me a chance, I’ll be your happy, loyal companion forever!

Hi… my name is Mickey,

Adopted 7-20-17

Mom was expecting when she was found (thank goodness!) and I was one of her five babies. The family that cared for us included 4 children, ages 1 through 10, with whom I was gentle and tolerant. But after six months, the time came for us to find our own homes. I especially loved my sister and it was hard saying goodbye to her, plus I was shy with strangers, so even though I looked good—a handsome male with a shiny black coat, 17 pounds at 7 months old—I was scared at first. Fortunately, I’m now coming into my own, learning to walk on a leash and how to do the things good dogs do! If you’ll kindly help me grow and learn, I’ll happily be your loyal and loving companion forever!

Hi… my name is Velvet,

Adopted 6-18-17

It didn’t take a rocket scientist to name me – one touch and you’ll understand that it was a no-brainer! And if you check out Wikipedia, you’ll see that “because of its unusual softness and appearance as well as its high cost of production, velvet has often been associated with nobility!” Couple that with my loving and playful nature, and I’m guessing that there couldn’t be much more that you’d want from a companion! I’m just a 3-year-old girl so those youthful hormones are, if not “raging,” at least still very active, so if entertainment and love are high on your list of “musts” in a feline, I’ve got ‘em in spades! Come see for yourself – you won’t be disappointed!

Hi… my name is Taco,

Adopted 6-1-17

When our home changed to include three small children (2 and 3 years old) and two dogs (both bigger than me), I wasn’t as comfortable as I had been. My person said I couldn’t handle the small kids anymore, and so it was decided I’d better find a new home. Right now, things have been kind of scary; I’m a little guy—7 years old, just 15-1/2 pounds. You can imagine how much I’d love to snuggle in your lap, if that’s okay with you. Indeed, I’d like to be your lap dog every day! We can go on walks, too—I’m leash trained and housebroken (in my former home I’d stand by the door to “ask” to go outside). I really just want to be someone’s good dog forever. Won’t you make me yours?

Hi… my name is Snoop,

Adopted 10-1-17

Comes with FREE Vet Care for Life.

New beginnings can be difficult for pets at any age, but it’s especially hard when you’ve only known one home all your life. After my mom died, dad decided that he wanted to start traveling, and being the quiet sort, I didn’t fit the “great traveling companion” profile (he also had allergies, so that didn’t help either!). At 11 years old, I’m fairly settled in my ways, so pretty much “what you see is what you get.” But if that means a warm furry guy with a peaceful spirit who doesn’t ask much of life except love (and a good relaxing brushing!), then what you’d be getting would be pretty darn nice in my estimation! Oh, and I have free vet care for life too – how’s that for a package?
