Hi… my name is Frosty,

Adopted 1-16-17

You’d think with a name like mine I’d be a white or silver guy, but I think I got my name because my beautifully soft “ticked” tabby coat looks like I have a glaze of frost on me! Of course, that isn’t my “real” name as I was rescued when I ran in front of a car on Duval Mine Road, and happily for me the driver stopped and brought me to TALGV (well, I was right across the street … how’s that for planning!). They think I’m about 4 years old, and although still a bit shaken after my adventure, at heart I’m a real lover and want only to be warm, safe, and in a home that will make sure I never go aroamin’ again!

Hi… my name is Batman,

Adopted 4-4-21

I am SO disappointed! I’d been here since 2016, and was FINALLY adopted by a wonderful lady who wanted a laid back cat she and her dog could travel with, and I sure thought I’d died and gone to heaven! I guess the fact that I’m back here tells you things didn’t work out, as I was terrified of the dog – we tried, but it just wasn’t to be, and now that I’ve had a taste of life in a real home, I’m doubly sad. I’d like to be your one and only (no other cats and certainly no dogs!), so won’t you give me a chance to remember how great human-only company can be?

Hi… my name is Melo,

Adopted 2-11-17

After I’d been with them basically my whole life (almost 2 years), my people had to move to a no-dogs-allowed place. I was suddenly all on my own, feeling shy, even scared at first. Fortunately, my former people left some info about me. They said I was good with kids and liked other animals—I’ve lived with a Chihuahua and cats, love playing fetch and water hose games. And the best news for me? Turns out they like me here at TALGV! They say I’m a great dog who’s going to make someone a fun and loyal companion, which sounds terrific to me. I’m a handsome Staffie mix male, about 54 pounds, and you can see in my eyes how much I want to be with you. Could today be the day we go home together?

Hi… my name is Toby,

Adopted 12-31-16

Eight years is a long time to spend sharing your life with someone, so when my disabled dad went into assisted living, I thought my world had come to an end. I know the saying “time heals all wounds,” so I’m waiting for that to happen for me. They’re awfully nice to me here, but with so many other felines, I’ve been keeping a low profile. But get me out of my cubby and into your lap and watch the “real me” come to the fore as I revel in ear and chin scratches! My dad said, “Toby is a sweet, gentle, kind, quiet guy who needs lots of love” so I’m longing for someone to come along and let me show them what “Maine Coon love” really is!

Hi… my name is Dexter,

Adopted 3-26-17

When rescued, I’d been living on the streets, which can be just as tough as it sounds. To the wonderful woman who took me in, it appeared I’d been abandoned, left to survive on mesquite beans, grass, and whatever else I could find. I was scared, hungry and tired, so that kind lady let me spend the entire week of Thanksgiving with her. I was such a happy camper! Then, because I need a permanent home, she brought here, where I continue to relish all kinds of creature comforts—living indoors, regular food, a soft bed, and the company of good friends. I’m an adorable 3-year-old blue-grey Staffie mix male who’s discovered how wonderful life can be! Why don’t you come meet me and let’s see how we can blend our happy futures together!

Hi… my name is Donner,

Adopted 12-4-16

Imagine you’re out for a stroll with your Border Collie, enjoying a little exercise, when suddenly six puppies run out to greet you! I was one of those puppies and I can tell you we were delighted to see that fellow and his dog! We’d been hiding under a stored RV, and our mom was nowhere around. So, our finders brought us here, where we’ve been the group to see for anyone who loves a litter of cute puppies. I’m Donner, a 2-month-old black Lab mix male, one of six adorable puppies. (If you think I’m the most adorable, that can be our secret.) Back on 11/27, I weighed a little over 5 pounds; probably more today because I’m a growing boy. Please come visit today and let’s see if we find each other irresistible!
