Hi… my name is Sammy,

I have a message for all you felines out there who think the grass is greener on the outside – it’s just not what it’s cracked up to be! I’d been surviving on my own for many months in Madera Reserve when the nice lady who was feeding me finally brought me here, and I have to say it’s really great not having to look over my shoulder all the time! I’m a bit reserved at the moment as things have changed so quickly in my life, but given my Siamese roots, you know that I’ve got friendliness, intelligence, and playfulness in my genes, and after I sort myself out, I’ll be an endlessly fascinating companion! Now admit it, you know that’s what you’ve been looking for!

Hi… my name is Barney (aka Baby Boy),

Adopted 1-8-17

When my housemate, Diamond, and I started hearing the dreaded “divorce” word, we had a sinking feeling that it might not end well for us. Sad to say it didn’t, as mom had to move to an apartment that didn’t allow pets, and dad couldn’t take us either, so we’re “back to the drawing board” in search of new homes. Mom said that I love playing with laser lights, pipe cleaners, am very “kittenlike,” and that I sometimes I think I’m a dog (I’m not quite sure what that means!). I love people (although don’t “do” kids very well), and at just 2 years old, I’ve got tons of living to do, so why not share the joy and do it together!

Hi… my name is Richard,

Adopted June 12, 2016

When I was hanging out across from Anza Trail School, I wasn’t planning to enroll, but I was glad to see people. I was lost. Fortunately, a nice lady spotted me alone there and took me home overnight. When she brought me here, she reported that I’d gotten along with the other animals in her home (2 dogs and 2 cats), and was gentle and tolerant with children. Guess you could say I was a very nice guest, and now I’m hoping to be a lot more than that to someone special. I’m a 4-year-old white Poodle mix male, just 12 pounds, and I’d be ever so glad to be your lifelong companion. Please visit today and let me show you how we can share love and happiness for a long time to come.

Hi… my name is Snowflake,

Adopted 1-16-17

At first glance, you might think whoever named me was one of those comedians who call fat people “Tiny!” Well, that’s actually not the case, ‘cause if you look a little closer, you’ll see that I do have a smattering of “snowflakes” strewn across my black fur so I guess they were actually being clever! I was wandering the area around The Peaks for several months before a kind lady began to feed me, and it took a while for me to warm up to her, but once I did, she said I just loved being petted (especially my ears!) and really seemed to want to come inside. They think I’m about 2 years old, so with lots of living still to do, I really want to put the itinerant life behind me!

When my housemate, Barney, and I started hearing the dreaded “divorce” word, we had a sinking feeling that it might not end well for us. Sad to say it didn’t, as mom had to move to an apartment that didn’t allow pets, and dad couldn’t take us either, so we’re “back to the drawing board” in search of new homes. Mom said that I’m a lovely, super laid back lady who loves sleeping with you and putting my head in your arms (attention you cuddle lovers out there — I could be yours for the asking!). I love people (although don’t “do” kids very well), and at just 3 years old, I’ve got tons of living to do, so why not share the joy and do it together!

Hi… my name is Bubba,

Adopted September 1, 2016

It’s a well-known fact that “special needs” cats are almost always extraordinarily sweet and oh-so-special in many ways! In my case, I have limited vision, and although I can see shadows and movement (the vet who examined me said that if Bubba were a person, he’d need a seeing-eye dog!), I still get around just fine (especially once I get to know my surroundings and, truth-be-told, I’d way rather spend time in your lap anyway! I arrived at TALGV with my sister, Blossom, and friends from a shelter that was closing, and although it was a long trip for us, we’ve all settled in and are ready to move on to real homes for the first time in our lives. I hope you’ll be the one to give me mine!

Hi… my name is Dulce,

Adopted June 20, 2016

When you first look at me, you might think that I’ve got an eye “problem,” but that’s not the case at all. I have two different colored eyes – the right one is marvelously marbled – and all you have to do is gaze into them and you’ll see wonderful shades of amber, gold, and brown vying for first place! I arrived here with my friends from a shelter that was closing, and now that we’ve all settled in we’re ready to move on to real homes. They say that I’m on the shy side, but everyone agrees that I would absolutely thrive on attention once I’m settled, so I hope you’ll be the one to give me the chance to show you just how brightly I can shine!

Hi… my name is Kolamoche,

Adopted 3-25-17

Kolamoche comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

It’s a well-known fact that “special needs” cats are almost always extraordinarily sweet and oh-so-special in many ways! In my case, a wound in my eye necessitated its removal (they could have left it in, but I would have needed eye drops for the rest of my life, so with it gone, I’m “good to go” with just one!). I arrived at TALGV with some of my friends from a shelter that was closing, and although it was a long trip for us, we’ve all settled in and are ready to move on to real homes for the first time in our lives. I’m a loving, laid-back Manx lady whose credo is “if you never give up, good luck is sure to follow.” C’mon, make that happen! Oh, and I come with Free Vet Care for Life!

Adopted May 15, 2016

AMADEUS is a sweet senior 7-year-old, female 100-pound Neopolitan Mastiff who needs a new home. Her dad died and foster family has several dogs already. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. Medical records are available. She has been an outside dog but is housebroken and is happy to have an inside home now as her legs are arthritic (medicine is needed to manage pain). Amadeus is very grateful for attention, likes to take short walks, and usually sleeps by owner’s bedside. She needs to be an only dog with a family that has time to dote on her and is home most of the time. There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Amadeus into a loving home as part of your family, please call Ann between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-777-4461.

Hi… my name is Anamax,

Adopted September 10. 2016

Do you suffer from insomnia? Well, permit me to recommend the Anamax purr cure! It goes hand-in-hand with the vibration therapy that happens when I’m snuggled up next to you, and I can almost guarantee a good night’s sleep! I was found in Anamax Park, looking for all the world like I was scratching my head wondering how on earth I’d landed there. Fortunately, I was rescued in short order (who knows what could have happened if a pack of coyotes jumped the fence and decided it was “playtime”!), and now I’m safe here checking out all the visitors to see which one I’m going to pick! With my super sleek panther-like looks, I’m a young fella who would be the pride, joy, and comfort of absolutely anyone!
