Animal League News

Hi… my name is Rella,

I’m a happy young girl who’s been enjoying life in a foster home while learning just how good it feels to belong. My foster family says I have wonderful manners and make every day brighter. I love my daily walks — they’re my favorite time to take in all the sights, sounds, and scents of the world. I’ve also done well with other dogs and would love to meet yours! I’m friendly, affectionate, and eager to please, with just the right mix of energy and sweetness. Life hasn’t always been easy, but thanks to TALGV, I’ve found my rhythm again. Now I’m ready for a forever home where I can keep walking, learning, and loving right beside you.  (10-2025)

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Panda Bear,

The sweetest sound I’ll ever hear is from my adopter: “you are coming home with me!” I lived my entire life (so far!) with my human mom who could no longer care for me and was moving. I’m a classy lady with baby-blue eyes. I LOVE to have my head and ears scratched, even while I’m snuggled in my domed bed. I am getting along fairly well at The Animal League, but I long for forever home. How about it? Do you have a rescuer’s heart for me? I have big love to share with you! Please come soon to spend time and get to know me!

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Or you may call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Nala,

I’m a Malinois/German Shepherd mix, which is code for: highly intelligent, athletic, and built for a job. I’m happiest when my brain and body are engaged, whether that’s structured training, adventure days, or purposeful daily routines. To set me (and you!) up for success, TALGV has enrolled me in a 2-week Board & Train program. I’ll be learning rock-solid obedience—heel, recall, sit, down, place—crate training, polite greetings, and even rattlesnake and toad avoidance, because… Arizona. I’m a quick study, and I take direction beautifully from someone who provides consistency and leadership. No cats or little kids for me, but in the right, breed-savvy home? I’ll be phenomenal: loyal, fun, focused, and game for whatever challenge comes next. If you’ve been searching for a smart, spirited partner with a solid foundation of training, I’m your girl.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Crepe,

Are you looking for your new best feline friend? I could just be THE one! I’m ready for my own human to adore. I need a home of my own. I was found in Tucson, a stray ready to give birth to my kittens. My kind rescuer kept us all for several weeks before bringing us to The Animal League where we’re known as the Breakfast Food Litter. We are ready for adoption. That’s where you come in! Please come meet me to see if we hit it off. I’m a quiet girl with pensive eyes that draw you into my world. Will you bring me into your world for love and companionship?

Hi… my name is Rocky,

Will you adopt me to return my sense of well-being? When I first arrived, I was scared and fractious. (One volunteer said “ambitious and adventurous!”) I’ve been traumatized by my human mom passing away. For two weeks prior, my feline buddy and I were left alone in the residence with daily visits to feed and water. Although I never lived with children, I lived with a cat, two dogs, and a fish. I used to sit at the window watching birds at the bird feeder. My human’s bed was comfy. She let me be my reserved, independent self. With a rescuer’s heart and patience, you could help me regain my equilibrium. Please come meet me!

Hi… my name is Greta,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

Although I’m a senior cat, I’ve not retired from love! My entire life I lived with my human mom. Just the two of us establishing our own routines. I was never around children in this quiet home. I turned up my nose at fish-flavored food! I liked to snuggle on the bed with mom. I was a great companion! It’s really traumatic to be separated from her since she had to go to a nursing home. I’m at The Animal League waiting for my next human to love me. Vet Care Support for Life is available to help medically care for me. Please come meet me!

Hi… my name is Big Kitty,

For my entire life I lived with my human mom, another cat, two dogs and a fish. What good times we shared! Alas, my human mom passed away after two weeks in the hospital. For those two weeks, my feline buddy and I were fed and watered daily at her residence. My attributes: I meow for my food, I like human attention although I can be independent, and I’m polydactyl (extra toes).  I’ve never been around children. I’m in need of a human who will brush my handsome fur coat while telling me they love me. That would help ease my recent trauma. Will you help restore my sense of well-being, please? I’m waiting for you.

Hi… my name is Juice,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

Ah, the life of a stray! Never knowing where my next meal would come from or what other critters were trying to make me their meal. Somehow I survived this and now I’m in seventh heaven, safe and with a full belly. I’m so happy I can’t wait to roll over to purr and have my belly rubbed. I’m a big solid boy, with big paws, orange and white fur. I’d love to find a new home where I can stay safely inside and get regular meals (although judging by my size, I haven’t missed too many). Since I am FIV positive, I come with Vet Care Support for Life. Please come meet me and pet me.

Hi… my name is Chatwick,

Let’s redefine “possible.” It’s possible that you could meet me, fall in love with me, and take me home. All you have to do is swing by The Animal League where I’m waiting! I’m a friendly lad with no home I can tell you about. I was a stray who came to The Animal League from another shelter. Very little was written about me. When you meet me, you will notice that I’m sweet and desire human companionship. That’s what I long for. Do you need a feline companion who needs tender loving care? If so, look no further. I’m your guy! We could share many adventures together. It’s possible, you know!
