Animal League News

Hi… my name is Lancelot,

I’m still looking for my knight in shining armor. I’ve been at The Animal League since I was an orphaned as a kitten. Now I’m one and a half years old. It’s true that I’m a shy guy and I have trust issues. It’s hard for the volunteers to even touch me. Would you like a special project? I’ve grown into a sleek lanky boy who needs his first home. I have a lovely tuft of white fur on my chest, which contrasts with my black body. I’ve been “fixed,” had all my shots, and I’m ready to go! Come call me yours and take me out! (2/26)

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Or you may call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Snickers,

I earned my name because I’m sweet, a little nutty, and full of happy energy! I was wandering a neighborhood when kind people noticed I was expecting puppies. TALGV took me in, gave me a safe place to have my tiny litter, and now I’m healing in foster while I get ready for my forever home. I’m barely out of puppyhood myself, so I LOVE to play, cuddle, and go on walks. I’m learning brave-girl skills like getting into the car so I can explore fun places (the destination is always worth it!). My foster says I’m one of the friendliest girls ever—just pure sweetness wrapped in a petite package. Looking for a little joy in your life? Grab a Snickers… that’s me!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Bailey,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I don’t always steal hearts… but when I do, it’s with a quiet glance and a handsome grin. I’m a distinguished gentleman, 11 years young, gentle, and aware of my charming good looks. Like George Clooney, Al Pacino, and Colin Firth, I only improve with age. I’m a shy, reserved gentleman at first—please allow me to make the first move—but once I trust you, I’m loyal, sweet, and wonderfully calm. Life changed when my family divorced, but I’m healthy, dignified, and ready for a forever home. I even qualify for TALGV’s Vet Care Support for Life, so our golden years can be full of easy walks, soft beds, and good company. If you love soulful eyes and timeless charm, come meet me at The Animal League of Green Valley.  Maybe I’ll give you my “pawtograph.”

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Jan

Hi… my name is Jan,

If you’re wondering if I’m named after the middle sister from The Brady Bunch, you’d be right! I’m a shepherd mix with a gentle heart and a shy streak, which just means I like to take my time getting to know new friends. Once I feel comfortable, my sweet side really shines, and I’ll happily stay close by your side like your quiet little shadow. I enjoy calm moments, soft encouragement, and the occasional treat (okay, I might perk up quite a bit for snacks). I’m not the loudest pup in the room, but I’m full of warmth, loyalty, and quiet charm. If you’re looking for a thoughtful companion who will love you deeply and appreciate the simple things, I’d love to come home with you and start our own happy story together!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Cindy,

Yes, I’m like the sweet little sister from the Brady Bunch, but with fewer pigtails and way more tail wags. I’m a gentle, shy girl who prefers to take new things slow, but once I feel safe, my sweetness really shines. I might not be the life of the party right away, but I’m definitely the cozy heart of it. I enjoy quiet moments, soft voices, and the occasional treat. I’m the kind of pup who will bond deeply with my person and make everyday life feel a little softer and warmer. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a tender spirit and a subtle sense of humor, I just might be your girl. Want to help me write my happy ending?

Hi… my name is Tomfoolery,

When my owner passed away I was brought to The Animal League along with my roommate. I’m a little scared right now! I’ve been hiding out where I can feel safe. When you approach, I may hiss, but if you speak softly, you might be able to stroke me with a wand. I know I need more time to adjust—but I’m hoping I can do my adjusting in a new home where I can feel safe again. I have a fluffy coat, brown tabby and white. I need a patient human who can love me and help me feel comfortable.

Hi… my name is Panda Bear,

My first human moved away. In my second home, I had to compete for affection and attention with another cat, so I’m back at The Animal League again! I’m a classy looking lady with baby blue eyes. I have what looks like a reverse “blaze” of dark fur going up from my chin to cheeks to forehead. I love head and ear scratches and will lean into cheek pets. Because I bond well with humans, I need one of my own – I need to be your one and only, too! My vaccines are current and I’m ready to go! Please, come rescue me!

Hi… my name is Pepper,

When my owner passed away I was brought to The Animal League along with my roommate. I’m a little scared right now! I’m shy with strangers anyway, and this is all so new. I used to sleep with my owner; now I hang out in a corner under a cat tree. When you approach, I may hiss, but if you speak softly you can stroke me with a wand and even brush me a little. I think I need more time to adjust—but I’m hoping I can do my adjusting in a new home where I can feel safe again. I have long hair, mostly white with some black on my head and back.

Hi… my name is Sammy,

For the last six years I lived in a care facility with my owner, but that has come to an end. In the past I was playful. but I have become more skittish lately—maybe I need a quieter place. Here at The Animal League I’ve been sitting in a cubby on a cat tree, and the volunteers can stroke and brush me.  My coat is mostly black, but I have white on my chin and chest, so they call me a “tuxedo.” I’m getting used to my new environment, but I would dearly love to find the right home. With you?

Hi… my name is Avery,

I’m an absolute love, as long as you are not a canine! In my last home I liked to stalk and attack the resident dogs, so needless to say I wore out my welcome there. Please keep me from that temptation going forward! I like to sleep with people and I love petting, brushing and scratching.  My last owner said I don’t scratch people or furniture (just dogs).  like to sleep in dark cubbies. I have a soft black and white coat that invites your touch. If you come to meet me I will greet you and show you how friendly I am.

Hi… my name is Lily (aka Milgard),

As a kitten I was found with my siblings in a carport. My brother and I were adopted into a home where our owners were gone much of the time. We kittens went a little wild! We came back to The Animal League and found a new home.  However, my brother bullied me, and then dad got sick and had to return us to The Animal League. Without my brother I blossomed into a friendly girl and was adopted again. I had a couple of episodes of nipping, which I admit isn’t good. So here I am for the fourth time, hoping for another chance. I love brushing and laps. Please come give me another chance!                                 (2-2026)
