Hi… my name is Mambo.

Adopted January 24, 2015.

It was only after I arrived with my littermates (the “dance” kittens!), when things started looking up for me in life! We were all part of a passel of animals that came in from TALGV’s Outreach program and had been living outside all our lives. Well, now that I’m safe here and getting to know humans, I’ve got a lot brighter outlook on the world (and humans) and am eager to find my very own special place in the world. I’m a darling young, medium-haired, solid black boy whose memory of the great outdoors wants to remain just that  — a memory! Just give me a chance to prove how loving and appreciative a rescue kitten can be – your life will be the better for it!

Hi… my name is Novie.

Adopted December 1, 2014.

After I arrived at TALGV last year, a family with six kids and three other cats made me part of their world. I got along great with all of them except their female cat, so although we tried to work it out, everyone decided I needed to be either an only cat or live with another, laid back, male. I’m a handsome, young “Chantilly” (check us out on the Internet!), who is gentle, quiet (“lazy” has been mentioned!), have perfect house manners (okay, I do counter surf once in a while, but that’s really a “cat thing”!), and I love people. My life would be complete if I had a lap, a bowl of munchies, and a few catnip mice to bat around, so if you have them, we should get together!

Hi… my name is Boots.

I was adopted July 15, 2014.
Having lived with lots of cats and dogs, you can be sure I’m a pretty well adjusted guy (I’m actually more partial to cat-savvy dogs!). My mom, whose health issues precluded her keeping me, said that I was a “big love” who loves to hunt toys, to sit in your lap and sleep with you, am very smart and know my name (for some reason people think that’s unusual for cats, but it’s really not — we’re no dummies!). I’m a handsome and sleek Tuxedo guy with a delightful white “goatee” and whiskers, so I’m betting if you give me a chance, I’ll win your heart as easily as I won my mom’s! Don’t you think it’s time that you had a furry friend sitting in YOUR lap?

Hi… my name is Katie.

I was adopted July 7, 2014.

I guess all pet owners hope that they’ll outlive their companions, but that doesn’t always happen. My dad was a loyal supporter of TALGV for many years, so I’m sure he’d be happy knowing that I’m in good hands now.  I lived with him all of my life, so you know how close we were and how much I’ll miss him. His neighbors said, “Katie is a great dog and would be a wonderful companion to just about anyone but kids.” (I guess they felt that at my age, kids would be a bit too much for me to “take on” at this stage in life!) I’m a lovely tri-colored shepherd mix, and my dream is to find another quiet home where I can spend my golden years making one more human happy.
Katie qualifies for TALGV’s “Vet Care for Life” program.

Ivy

Hi… my name is Ivy.

I was adopted August 4, 2014.

When you’re found living under a tarp you can be forgiven for being pretty wary of the world! My brother, Hollis, and I were found in Arivaca at five weeks old with our eyes swollen shut and VERY frightened. But that was then, and this is now, and we’ve been nursed back to health and are coming out of our shells more every day (it doesn’t take kittens long to decide that being outgoing and lively is lots more fun than hiding!). I’m a little brown tabby and white girl and I guess all I can tell you is that I’m a “typical kitten” (with all the joy that that entails for humans!) and will one day never remember living “rough” when I was a baby. Why not help me do just that?

Hi… my name is Jinx.

I was adopted July 10, 2014.

There’s some confusion as to whether I’m a Ragdoll or a Snowshoe Siamese, but if you’re familiar with either breed, you’ll know that we’re totally awesome, sweet felines, so you get the best of both worlds with me! My family consisted of mom, dad, two dogs and two kids (ages 8 and 10), and everyone agreed that I’m a real sweetheart and a lover (and also chatty if you’re feeling lonely!). My problem is that I occasionally didn’t use my litter box, but I’m pretty sure that my fastidious feline ways would come to the fore in no time in a new environment (and maybe with a watchful eye for a bit?). I’m only 4 years old, so I’ve got lots of time ahead of me to become “Patti Perfect,” and I’m hopeful that you’ll give me that chance!

Hi… my name is Baby Boo.

Adopted 12-5-16

Baby Boo comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

When you’ve lived all your life with one (very quiet) person and no other pets, you tend to be a rather laid back, shy lady. After my mom died, her sister would have taken me, but her husband had allergies, so that didn’t work out. Everyone says I am a real sweetie with a tiny voice who is always glad to see people. I enjoy playing with feathery things and small stuffed toys (I sometimes carry them around and drop them in my water bowl!), just like when I was a kitten. My “auntie” said, “She’s kind, affectionate, and loves to be petted and talked to,” so if you have a quiet life, please make me part of it! Oh, and I come with Free Vet Care for life to boot!

Arrived May 15, 2014

Hi… my name is Charcoal.

I was adopted on August 17, 2014.

My family lost their home and had to move in with a relative who had a lot of ginormous dogs that weren’t the least bit cat friendly. To add to the upheaval in my life, I was pregnant when I arrived, so went to live with a foster mom until my babies were born, raised, and off on their own. So finally it’s MY turn to sit in the spotlight! I’m a playful, sweet youngster with glossy black fur who loves kids, to be chucked under the chin, and just be near you. And in addition to my personality, remember that black is slimming so holding me will make you look extra slender!

Hi… my name is Abbie.

Adopted September 21, 2014.

If you’ve ever navigated the intersection of Abrego Drive and Continental Road on foot, you’ll appreciate how terrified I was to be roaming there for two weeks! The neighbors finally convinced me that there was a lot better place for me to be, and here I am! I’m still pretty nervous about things (the leash most of all, but I’m learning) but other than that, I’m a quiet, calm girl and welcome human contact with its attendant pets and belly rubs. I’m a 7-month-old shepherd/heeler mix and weigh 22 pounds, so I’m going to be one of those “just the perfect size” dogs when I’m grown. Being here in the safety of my room, I’m sure it won’t be long before my days on the streets will be just a distant memory.

Hi… my name is Colby.

Adopted January 6, 2015.

If a kitten running around doing things that kittens do (like chasing a mouse on a string or making mad dashes at “ghosts”!) stress you out, then I’m not for you! The man who adopted me had me for only two weeks and said that I was too “needy and dependent,” so even though I thought I’d found the perfect home, it didn’t work out. I arrived at TALGV as an infant, so a foster “mom” took care of my needs until I was okay on my own. I guess that’s why I enjoy human company so much (and I’ve also had lots of playmates here to revel with!), so I’m not your laid-back, sedentary guy. What I am is a solid black shorthaired boy who promises nonstop entertainment and love!

Arrived May 5, 2014.
