Hi… my name is Carla,

Adopted May 28, 2016

When I arrived at TALGV, someone started singing, “Hey there lonely girl…” They saw that I’d been lost, lonely, very scared, and in need of a friend. Weeks later, I was thrilled to be adopted. But then my owner began traveling extensively and I was returned to TALGV, where my friends welcomed me back. They’re ready to help me find a new home, hoping this time it’s the forever kind! I’m an active, playful female who enjoys car rides, toys, and quiet times, too—your gentle touch means so much. I’m young and slender, about 17 months and 40 pounds, white with brown markings, resembling a Canaan Dog and probably a Pointer mix. Best of all, I’ll be a devoted companion to the person I can love and trust, and I’m hoping that’s you.

Hi… my name is Peaches,

Adopted 12-31-16

Peaches has earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

Back when I was lost, I’d wait until nighttime, then crawl up on a cushioned wicker chair in a stranger’s atrium and sleep there. I thought I was without a friend, but that wasn’t so. Soon, some kind people came for me and brought me here, where I’m safe, comfy, and everyone likes me! They say my name suits me because I’m so sweet-natured, and they praise me for being calm and gentle. I can be bashful, but I’m also good with most people because I love their company. Maybe you’ll like being with me, too. How about we meet today and find out! I’m a soft-coated brown and white Staffie mix female, a little over 1 year old and about 57 pounds. There are lots of happy years ahead—let’s spend them together!

Adopted March 26, 2016

DONUT is a very smart, social, and sweet 60-pound 4-year-old Sharpei mix who needs a new home as her owners are moving out of the area and can’t take her. She is housebroken, asks to go out and uses a doggy door. Donut is crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and knows the commands “sit,” “stay,” and “shake.” She loves being with her people and does best with calm dogs of medium or large size. She is spayed, is up to date with shots, and medical records are available. There is no adoption fee for this loving girl. If you will welcome Donut into your home as part of your family, please call Jennifer between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-780-0313.

Hi… my name is Bella,

Adopted February 25, 2016

I thought I was home forever, but then life threw us a curve. My person’s health issues meant she couldn’t take care of me any more, and so I’m back at TALGV (she adopted me here two years ago). Good thing I’m adaptable, right? Granted, I am shy, but always eager to get over the shyness because I love lots of petting and cuddling. I also like to play (if you see the orange pig, that’s my favorite toy). I’m a sweet 4-1/2-year old Fox Terrier mix female, mainly white with cute brown touches on my ears, and will just say “little” because I’m on a diet right now. My house manners are excellent, I walk well on a leash, and if you give me the chance, I’ll be your happily devoted companion for life!

Hi… my name is Mello,

Adopted January 24, 2016

Everyone’s trying to decide which I am – a Snowshoe or a Ragdoll – but in either case, you can bet I live up to the captivating traits of both (which are pretty similar actually!). I love people, have lived with two dogs, and until recently when the older one started to dominate and intimidate me, got along fine with them. My mom said, “Mello is a warm, loving lady who enjoys being brushed and will sit in your lap and watch TV for hours.” (She also said that I’d love to sleep in bed with you if allowed – which I wasn’t – I think that honor “went to the dogs”!) At any rate, my name says it all, so if you give me a chance, I’ll fill your house with affection – one purr at a time!

Hi… my name is Andre.

Adopted December 28, 2015

A short while ago, when I was lost and on my own, I didn’t have time for fun. I had to focus on trying to find what a dog needs every day. Guess I had my nose to the ground because suddenly there was a kind gentleman telling me that I was headed in the direction of the mountains, which was not my wisest choice. Instead, he recommended TALGV, which was great advice. My friends here provide food, water and shelter, and I’m free to practice my doggie skills and have a whole lot of fun. Turns out I’m really good at playing, being a friend, and sometimes even smiling! I’m a young, eager-to-please, brown Lab mix male, who’s hoping to meet you real soon. I think we could be real happy together.

Hi… my name is Clark,

Adopted January 8, 2016

Who doesn’t love Maine Coons? Since we’re the largest domesticated cat breed and known for our sociability and intelligence we’re called “gentle giants” and with good reason. Although we’re said to be “relaxed” around other animals and kids, in my case dogs just don’t do it for me, but I’ve got the kids, other cats, and people thing down pat (I’m especially fond of laps, and can be a bit vocal when I want attention)! My family adopted me from a shelter and only had me for three months when their lives were turned upside down. So now I’m here and ready made for a home where I can share my love of life with everyone, and if you’ve never been owned by a Maine Coon, I’d like to show you what you’ve been missing!
