Hi… my name is Peaches,

Adopted January 12, 2016

Yep. Under this fluffy fur beats a heart of pure gold that’s aching to share the love in another peaceful home! My senior mom’s health deteriorated so much that she simply couldn’t care for my friend, Sadie, or me any longer. As the volunteers can tell you, I needed lots of grooming when I arrived – my glorious coat was matted and my ears needed serious attention – but now that I’m being attended to (gently – there’s a lot of “remedial work” needing to be done!), my beauty is becoming more evident each day. I’ve always been a quiet lady, but do love to be with my person – in bed or on the sofa – so a chance to be a comforting, gentle companion to you is the stuff my dreams are made of!

Hi… my name is Gabby,

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

My “real” name is Abby, but since there already was a cat by that name here, they decided to add a “G” because that was one of the first things they noticed about me — I’ll chat up a storm until you give me attention! My family loved me dearly, but they were moving to Hawaii, and felt that my 15 years, coupled with a long plane trip and a protracted stay in quarantine, would be too hard on me even though I’m healthy as the proverbial horse (because of my age, I do have Free Vet Care for Life anyway!). They said I loved their teenagers, the dogs, and still like to play with laser lights, balls, and catnip mice, so you know that I’m no old fuddy-duddy! How about a second chance for this sweet senior?

Hi… my name is Clark,

Adopted January 8, 2016

Who doesn’t love Maine Coons? Since we’re the largest domesticated cat breed and known for our sociability and intelligence we’re called “gentle giants” and with good reason. Although we’re said to be “relaxed” around other animals and kids, in my case dogs just don’t do it for me, but I’ve got the kids, other cats, and people thing down pat (I’m especially fond of laps, and can be a bit vocal when I want attention)! My family adopted me from a shelter and only had me for three months when their lives were turned upside down. So now I’m here and ready made for a home where I can share my love of life with everyone, and if you’ve never been owned by a Maine Coon, I’d like to show you what you’ve been missing!

Hi… my name is Mackie,

Adopted December 27, 2015

My name is a hint about where I was found—in the parking lot near a particular McRestaurant. Guess that playful name is appropriate since I do love to have fun, and I find it almost everywhere because I’m interested in almost everything! On my walks, I sniff the air and what’s underfoot, look all around and then look at you to see if you’re interested, too. I’m grey (almost brown-grey) and white, a Staffie/Bassett mix, and at just 6 months old and 31 pounds, I’m still a little girl, but one who’s confident, curious, and lively. The volunteers say I’m “awfully cute;” I prefer “blossoming beauty,” but you be the judge. I’d love to have some adventures with you, so please come meet me and let’s see how much fun we can share!

Hi… my name is Toto,

Adopted January 8, 2016

Well, I guess I’m not in Kansas any more! But I’m not out on the streets any more either! When I peered into the window of a sweet lady’s home on Esperanza Boulevard, she thought I was just out on an afternoon ramble. When I didn’t disappear after a few days (and a big black cat was threatening me!) she decided I needed to be indoors in a home of my own. I tried to talk her into keeping me, but that didn’t work, so being here is the next best thing, ‘cause I know my engaging personality (and charismatic Charlie Chaplinesque moustache) is going to win someone over in a jiffy. I just live for people, petting, and laps, so why not make my holidays and, in a warm and fuzzy way, yours too!

Hi… my name is Spirit,

Adopted April 20, 2016

Spirit comes with Free Vet Care for Life.

When my senior dad died, mom moved to Colorado to be with her son who lives in one of those “no pets allowed” places, so my sister, Lilly, and I got left behind. After spending ten years with the same quiet people, you can understand, then, why we’re both pretty introverted at the moment. Mom said that although we’ve always been the shy, retiring types, we do bond well with older people once we feel comfortable. I’m a handsome devil though, with long slate grey fur and riveting golden eyes, and I come with Free Vet Care for Life, so if you have a peaceful abode that you’d like to share, please think of me and my sister, too — we’re awfully attached to each other and need to be adopted together!

Hi… my name is Shale (aka Shadow).

Adopted November 10, 2015

I’m such a sleek and gorgeous girl that you can hardly tell the difference between the “before I had my babies” pictures when I arrived and now! Despite having been told I was a great mother, I’m really happy now to be on my own and ready to move on in life! I’m a 2-year-old girl who lived with a family (with six kids!), another cat, and several dogs (so you know I’m really laid back!), but the newest baby had terrible allergies, so the family couldn’t keep me any longer. Truth be told, maybe it’s a good thing I came to TALGV, since now that my children are off on their own, I won’t be adding to the feline population any longer and will be ready to love only YOU!
