Hi… my name is Adelita,

Adopted 12-12-23

I learned the hard way what a cold shoulder is: my family moved and just left me outside. Rude! I lived on the porch for a couple of weeks and was getting overheated. Finally someone brought me to safety.  I’m ready for a new home where I will never experience that again! I’m very sweet and like to hide my nose in my paws. I enjoy petting and right now I hang out on a cat tree and take lots of naps there. My coat is a pretty grey with white. If you will come meet me we can get acquainted and find out if we’re simpatico. I’m betting you’ll love me at first sight.

Hi… my name is Little Charlie,

Adopted 7-16-23

My owner passed away, so here I am! They say I’m a “talker” but with a soft voice, and very friendly…I think I could be a lap cat. I love attention, especially brushing and will lean into the brush for more. I’ve been around dogs without a problem. I’m really hoping to find a quiet home where I can spend my middle and later years. My coat is mostly grey with a splash of white on my face and chest. I’m a little shy right now, but I’m sure I could warm right up to the right person! Please come meet me and let me show you how charming I am.

Hi… my name is Topsy,

Adopted with Turvy 6-3-23

Mama was a wild one, giving birth to me and my sister Turvy in a garage—then she disappeared.  Thankfully the garage owner brought us to The Animal League. Not being used to an indoor environment yet, I’m a little shy—but I want to adjust. I can be petted and will play. My coat is a super-soft beautiful solid grey, which is set off by my big yellow eyes. I’m looking for a safe home (no more garages!) where I can let my true colors shine through. How about coming by to meet me?

Hi… my name is Angel,

Adopted 11-7-23

All my life I lived outside. Terrible place for a cat. It’s a miracle I survived, but I did! The neighbor who fed me named me Angel. Supernatural powers of survival. Now at The Animal League, I am quiet and shy. I am trying to adjust to indoor living which is safer and better (think three meals a day and places to sleep with cat trees to climb on and cubbies to hide in). I am learning to appreciate the kindnesses of the volunteers who pet me and brush me. I’m a petite lady with soft gray fur who needs a loving home where my personality can shine. Perhaps that’s yours? Please come meet me!

Hi… my name is Layla,

Adopted 6-20-23

I’ve been told there’s a famous song by my name. Too bad the songwriter didn’t know me as the lyrics would be about what a loveable pup I am! Luckily, you CAN meet me at TALGV. I promise to exceed your expectations. Not to brag, but
I’m a well-mannered, house-trained, command-mastering, playful girl who has been good with dogs, cats and kids. Do you have a lap I can sit on? I love to cuddle and even though I’m 62 pounds of gorgeousness and muscle, I’m gentle. I DO need a secure yard to keep me safe as I’m a very sociable girl who will look for other friends (two-legged and four-legged) to introduce myself to. Could your family help me write my own Happily-Ever-After song? If so, don’t wait! Many people will want my paw-tograph!

Hi… my name is Kehlani,

Adopted 3-6-24

A year ago, I was fortunate to find what I thought was my Forever Family. Sadly, my owner passed away and other family members couldn’t keep me, so now I’m back at TALGV. But despite losing my family and home, I am a playful, affectionate and VERY happy girl. I have house manners and know how to use a doggie door or ask to go outside. I’ve been good with kids but can be shy with some men. (Maybe I’m playing ‘hard to get’ – LOL!). While I lived with other dogs of all sizes, small dogs (and cats) look more like toys I’d like to chase.  Speaking of toys, I’m passionate about them and treats. Please come meet me and I’ll happily show you why friends say I’m a beauty with brains to match!

Hi… my name is Sterling,

Adopted 6-23-23

After I wandered around the Amado area for a while a nice woman convinced her husband to bring me to The Animal League. Thank goodness! I feel safe here and am getting lots of attention. I like being petted and at my young age I still like to play. I’m a sweet, gentle grey lady with yellow-green eyes. For my age I’m petite, and my solid grey fur is silky soft. I like to sleep in my cat bed but maybe I could get used to yours. Why not come meet me and let’s see if we are made for each other? I’m ready for a nice, safe home where I can be a companion.

Hi… my name is Dusk,

Adopted 9-3-23

I’m not sure how I found myself outside and alone, but a nice lady noticed me and brought me to The Animal League. I must have seen some scary sights while I was on my own, because I’m still very scared. I growl instinctively when anyone looks at me or tries to approach, but here’s a secret. I’m really not threatening! If you come up slowly and talk softly, you can touch me, pet me and brush me. I do seem to get along with other cats. I’m a hefty grey and white guy just looking for someone to love me and help me feel safe. Could that be with you? Let’s find out.
