After I wandered around the Amado area for a while a nice woman convinced her husband to bring me to The Animal League. Thank goodness! I feel safe here and am getting lots of attention. I like being petted and at my young age I still like to play. I’m a sweet, gentle grey lady with yellow-green eyes. For my age I’m petite, and my solid grey fur is silky soft. I like to sleep in my cat bed but maybe I could get used to yours. Why not come meet me and let’s see if we are made for each other? I’m ready for a nice, safe home where I can be a companion.

I’m not sure how I found myself outside and alone, but a nice lady noticed me and brought me to The Animal League. I must have seen some scary sights while I was on my own, because I’m still very scared. I growl instinctively when anyone looks at me or tries to approach, but here’s a secret. I’m really not threatening! If you come up slowly and talk softly, you can touch me, pet me and brush me. I do seem to get along with other cats. I’m a hefty grey and white guy just looking for someone to love me and help me feel safe. Could that be with you? Let’s find out.

Codi is a happy, energetic, and social 6-year-old, 8-pound, ShihPoo male that needs a new home. He is crate trained, leash trained, house trained (asks to go out), and obedience trained (sit, down, shake hands and come). He is in good health (teeth have been cleaned recently), is neutered and up to date on shots; his medical records are available. Codi gets along with other dogs but not with cats, is best with adults but may be okay with older children. He loves to sit on your lap or just hang out with his people. There is no adoption fee. When I was just a few weeks old I was rescued from dogs and lived with a nice lady who had other animals–maybe too many animals, so here I am. She says I’m sweet natured and very laid back. I’m affectionate and like to sleep next to you. TALGV volunteers say I’m cuddly and playful and will purr my satisfaction. I have a handsome charcoal grey coat with a slightly lighter-colored mouth. Masterpieces by Michelangelo, Beethoven and DaVinci, took time, patience and love to come to fruition. Those treasures were certainly worth the effort, right? Well, with those same tools, you can transform this 47-lb bundle of happy energy into the best dog I can be! A kind human found me wearing a “deaf dog” collar and, sadly, nobody claimed me. But, happily, my TALGV friends are helping me channel my energy into learning good manners as well as hand signal commands (you know deaf dogs hear with their hearts, right?), and all the while I’m having fun and making more friends. A lovely grey and white lady… a bundle of love I am! I love to be brushed and need to be brushed! I so appreciate being petted. I lived in a home with adults, but I wasn’t so fond of children. I do like to play with mesh tubes and to scratch on cardboard. My favorite sleeping places are in my own bed or on the sofa. I’m here at TALGV because of human allergies in my home. My people described me as independent, needy, and shy with strangers….so take your pick and come meet me to see for yourself. I have a feeling we could be great pals if you’re willing to give me that special attention I need.
