Hi… my name is Pecan,

Adopted 11-17-21

It’s a mystery to me how I got my name, but Pecan it is. I’m a sweet declawed(front paws) lady who currently is very shy, so the volunteers are giving me extra attention to help me overcome my being abandoned at a vet’s office. Fortunately, I was brought here where I’m being fed a variety of delectable treats to fill out my petite frame. And, boy, do I enjoy those extra feedings! Everyone’s catering to my hunger for attention, and although I appreciate that, I’d really love to be in my own home with my own person who can share love and attention with me.  Won’t you come meet me and be THEone?

Hi… my name is Tempe,

Adopted 11-2-21

Just because a guy spends his early life as a “community cat” doing daily battle for the basics doesn’t mean that he’s feral! That’s what they determined when my colony was relocated – they quickly discovered that I love people, petting, and, boy, aren’t those “comforts of home” awesome (that is having food and water delivered to you every day without competition)! Plus you get to spend time being petted and played with – things you never thought would happen to you! So I’d be even more delighted if I could spend the rest of my life with a special person catering to me and helping me enjoy all those things in a home of my own!

Hi… my name is Goldie,

Adopted 11-29-21

When you’re born blind, you learn to navigate the world pretty well despite that handicap (it also makes you REALLY love laps and sweet talk for their comfort and security!). I was born in a feral colony and a wonderful woman took me in until her physical limitations precluded her caring for me. She said I liked to play with rattle toys and enjoyed walking on a harness outdoors. My main joy is just being with you (no other cats, please). Just be careful ‘cause I stick really close by, so be sure not to step on me! As a 1-year-old guy, I know I’ll make a loving, lifelong companion, so why not yours?

Hi… my name is Millie,

Adopted 1-29-24

I’ve been at TALGV for a while because, after a tough start in life, I can have issues when overstimulated. I take medication to help me take more things in stride but will need continued guidance. My foster mom says I’m a good houseguest: I get along with her dogs, do well in my crate when left alone and at night, and know all basic commands. She also reports that I don’t jump fences or dig in the yard, and ride well in the car. My ideal forever home is calm and quiet, without kids, small dogs or cats, but preferably with a doggie companion. If you have experience dealing with a “slightly less than perfect” dog and the time and patience to direct me, I’ll try my best to become your most loyal companion.

Tie

Hi… my name is Tie,

Adopted 1-4-22

I am an affectionate Blue Heeler who loves to cuddle and get belly rubs. I have gotten along with other animals in the past, and I know how to use a doggie door. Because I am deaf, I have learned hand signals and they say that I respond well to them. I’d love to learn more, too, because we heelers are a smart breed, always ready to learn something new! I walk well on a leash when out with the vounteers, but I also love to run off some of my herding dog energy whenever I get a chance! My former owners said I had too much of that, so I am looking for an active person or family who enjoys being out and about as much as I do. Is that you?

Hi… my name is Felix,

Adopted with Tostitos 10-20-21

Here’s a surprise: I’m a 5-month-old who’s “confident, curious, loves to play with toys, likes to attack feathers and toy mice, and loves to snuggle!” But the real surprise is that I’m still here! As a barely-weaned kitten, I was found on a street in Nogales, drenched on one of those VERYrainy July days. My rescuer couldn’t find my mom or littermates, so she took me in, intending to nurse me back to health and then find me a home. Well, the health thing happened, but the home never materialized, so now it’s TALGV’s turn to make sure I find just the right forever home, and I’ll bet yours would be just the ticket!

Hi… my name is Corsair,

Adopted 11-5-21

I feel like Kermit’s song, “It’s not easy being green … you tend to blend in with other things…” was written just for my roommates and me! Our lives have been a series of ups and downs – spending our early months outside, tolerating the intake pokes and prods when arriving here, and enduring a weeks-long ringworm protocol in isolation without a lot of “people time” – so we basically missed the joy of our kittenhood and are being fairly low-profile right now. But we’re youngsters nonetheless, and given patience, safe and loving homes, with a smidgen of time, I bet we’ll all become the companions we’re meant to be. Won’t you PLEASE give us that chance?

Hi… my name is Oscar,

Adopted 10-10-21

When I jumped into the lady’s golf cart, all I wanted was a ride. At first she thought I was a wild animal, but once we met she invited me home. I’m an approximately 4-month-old Terrier and I’m proud of it! Would you believe there are over 30 types of Terriers? Being “feisty” and energetic are the primary traits we all share. Don’t worry, I hear we make wonderful, loyal, and lovable pets. We’re also trainable, as long as you take charge, because we can be a little stubborn (I prefer, independent). Now is the perfect time, with your patience and perseverance, for me to start kindergarten and learn the basic commands. How about some “extra curricular” training. You know what I mean… cute tricks! Are you ready to take me home?
