We all understand that young pups need attention and training, and they earn it mainly by being so adorable. Well, I’m on the other end of that spectrum. Oh, I hope you find me adorable, too, but I’m 10 years old now and so I’m best at relaxing walks and quiet times by your side. I’m already leash trained, get along with cats and children, and described as gentle and tolerant. When first here, I was terribly shy, but quickly responded to kindness from friendly people. They say that sometimes life gives you cherries and sometimes it gives you lemons, and my brother, Prince, and I have had both. Our dad raised us from birth and life really WAS that proverbial bowl of cherries until he developed a life-threatening illness and could no longer care for us, so I guess we should be glad that we had him for as long as we did. Having led a blissful life, I know what joy there is to be had with a loving family, so I’m hopeful that there’s another one for me (and maybe Prince too?) right around the corner. I’m a 2½-year-old Snowshoe Siamese just brimming with all the qualities I know you’d like in a companion. Why not let me show them to you?

As a stray mom with a kitten, I thought it was devilishly clever to pick the Community Food Bank as my refuge, but it turned out that since they’re more “people oriented,” they didn’t have a lot of food for pets. Well, they gave me food and shelter anyway and then they brought me to TALGV where I got to live with a foster mom ‘til my baby was old enough to be on her own. Now it’s my turn, and this petite, 2-year-old, dilute torti lady (who looks VERY exotically Egyptian!) is ready to get on with life. I’ve got lots of favorite things (adopt me and discover all of them!), but #1 is being by your side, so let’s spend the next decade or so sharing life’s pleasures.

Here’s what we know about me: “A male neutered Siamese mix was brought to our veterinary clinic by a Good Samaritan who reported that the feline had been on his property for approximately one month. Cat is in good health and has been microchipped.” And when they tried to trace my owner through that, they reached a dead end. So what I’m thinking is that the dead end in my past life could well be the beginning of my new life with YOU! I’m a handsome (that word is sometimes overworked, but just take a look at me!), 2-year-old Siamese mix (named after the Chinese general who wrote “The Art of War,”) who’s looking toward a future full of peace, security, and love. No “wars” for this guy!

My rescuer said I found her, and that was certainly a lucky find! I walked into her yard weak from hunger and thirst. But things quickly turned around. My new friend gave me food, water, and even took me to a doctor. Then she brought me here (she already has 7 dogs), where I’ve met more wonderful people. A very sweet 14-month-old Shepherd mix female, 30 pounds, I walk well on a leash and sit when you say to (most of the time). I get along with other dogs and like to play, but you know what I love most of all? Your attention. Talk to me, pet me, teach me things—I love it all! So now it’s up to you. Will you let me find you today and then love you forever?
