Hi… my name is Daisy Mae,

Adopted 4-8-18

It’s the dream of every cat to live the “Life of Riley,” but when that ends, it sometimes makes it a challenge to adapt to the changes. That’s what happened to my housemates, Fricker, Foophus, Kitz, and me when my young dad died unexpectedly and there was no one to take us in. His mom said that although we’d lived “sheltered and spoiled” lives we were very nice gentle cats who were just happy spending our days with each other and our person. I’m a lovely 4-year-old grey tabby and white lady and although I know that I’ll never really “replace” my dad, but there’s going to be a wonderful new someone who’ll let me enjoy the “good life” all over again!

Hi… my name is Lola,

Adopted 11-9-17

Here’s my secret: To know me is to love me. Oh, I’m a quietly independent female, but I’m also a genuine sweetie pie. People are often surprised by how quickly we become friends, which happens because I like people and it shows. Give me a little affection and I’ll gently give it right back. And when you’re ready for a walk, I’m happy just to be by your side. (I’m good on a leash, crate-trained and know some commands.) When I was found on a frontage road with my son Lucky Boy, our finder said we were both very friendly—concerned for each other, but also welcomed her attention. And now I want to welcome yours. I’m a 6-1/2-year-old Staffie/Bulldog mix female, 51 pounds; calm, affectionate, and ready to love you most of all.

Hi… my name is Kaylee,

Adopted 10-20-17

When I first came to TALGV, I’d been lost and wandering with my dog friend Lenny. We were adopted separately, but now I’m back because I could not live peacefully with the other dog in my new home. You could say I prefer the attention that comes with being the only dog. I love people—my owners said I love kids and big people, too. Plus, I’m very smart, leash trained, housebroken, and know commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “leave it.” I’m a red Shepherd mix female, about 39 pounds on a slender build, alert (have you seen my ears?), and in my dreams I picture our fun times ranging from playing ball to hanging out on the couch. If that would be good for you, too, let’s start today!

Hi… my name is Rocky,

Adopted 12-22-17

Losing your job is bad enough, but after my mom lost hers, she had to move to a smaller, “no pets allowed,” apartment and that meant losing my housemates, Simon, Inky, and me too! It was especially hard on all of us because we’re loving, outgoing felines who enjoyed each other’s company and simply adored mom. Yes, I know, I don’t have a very feminine name, but I guess it’s better than “Wacky,” which I was saddled with originally because I was such a rambunctious kitten! Well now I’m a talkative, 2-year-old crawl-in-your-lap kind of girl who’s super playful and loves cuddles. Given my outgoing nature, it won’t be long before I’ll be showering my affection on some wonderful new person in my life. Maybe you?

Hi… my name is Tango,

Adopted with Keno 8-27-17

I guess someone had dancing on their mind when my littermates, Twist, Jitterbug, and I were named! We were just wee little things when we arrived so went to live with a foster mom until we “made weight” and could come to TALGV to show off our wares. Well, we’ve been languishing here for a while now because there’s just so much competition in the kitten department, but spend some time with any of us (sit down and let us do our kitten thing in your lap!), and you’ll wonder how we got overlooked! “Kitten” pretty much says it all, so why not take two ‘cause we’d be twice the fun!

Losing your job is bad enough, but after my mom lost hers, she had to move to a smaller, “no pets allowed,” apartment and that meant losing my housemates, Rocky, Inky, and me too! It was especially hard on all of us because we’re loving, outgoing felines who enjoyed each other’s company and simply adored mom. I’m an 8-year-old Siamese gentleman (with a little Himalayan mixed in they think because of my silky longer-than-Siamese coat), and mom said that I’m a “wonderful, independent lap cat who loves cuddles and tuna fish” (those last two are a particularly fantastic combination!). Given my outgoing nature, I’m sure it won’t be long before I’ll be able to shower my affection on some wonderful new person in my life. Maybe you?

You can tell by my name what color I am, but you’ve got to meet me in person to see what absolutely riveting gold-bullion eyes I have! And as still pretty much a kitten at a year old, there’s the over-the-top personality too (I love to give “kisses”!), so I know it won’t be long before I’ll be showering my affection on some wonderful new person in my life. Maybe you?

Max

Hi… my name is Max,

Adopted 8-25-17

There are tiny doggies and then there’s me: A 140-pound, 6-year-old brindle Mastiff male. Take me for a walk and strangers may smile and wave, apparently so impressed by my size. But I’m used to it—I just grew this way! Plus, for years I’ve lived with Oreo, a 32-pound Bassett Hound, so I know how to share my space. I’m a sweet, easy-going guy, but remember the big part—a strong walker on your end of the leash is a good idea. I need a new home due to the health concerns of our former person, who left word that I’ve been gentle and tolerant with youngsters (ages 6-17), am leash trained, and “ask” to go outside. So if there’s room for a big love in your life, I’m the guy for you.
