Hi… my name is Juliet,

Adopted 7-16-17

I was found wandering alone in a delicate condition—pregnant with four puppies! Thank goodness, a kind stranger rescued me and my babies were all delivered safely. The weeks have flown by and now they’re ready for adoption—and I am, too! When asked to describe me, my people friends almost always say the same two things first: She’s adorable, and she’s been a very good mother. People think being a good mom is a sign of good character; I say it’s just natural. I take care of my babies as long as they need me. And, given the chance, I’ll take care of my person with love, good doggie behavior, and all the affection they want. I’m a sweet 1-year-old female, small (still losing my mommy weight) and hoping you could love me forever.

Hi… my name is Shiva,

Adopted 6-23-18

Shiva has earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate & AKC Novice Trick Dog title.

People say I’m a super smart dog. Indeed, my former person said I’m the smartest dog he’s ever seen. He also said I’m “almost perfect 99% of the time,” but for that remaining 1%, well, I needed a trainer’s help. And the trainer agreed that I’m not the dog for just anybody, but for the right person, I’ll be a great companion. For fun, I learned enough tricks to earn the AKC’s Novice Trick Dog Title! And that came after earning the AKC’s Canine Good Citizen certificate, awarded for outstanding performance on behavior tests. I hope you think all that’s good, because I’m hoping it’s enough to earn what I want most: A happy, loving home. I’m a beautiful hound mix female, about 58 pounds, who wants nothing more than to be loved again.

Hi… my name is Caramel,

Adopted 8-23-17

I’m a beautiful, sweet, lovable young dog, but I was also a stray. When rescued, I had a scratch on my face. I’m fine now, wounds like that heal, but that scratch was a tiny reminder of what happens to dogs who are lost. Now that I’m a TALGV dog, I’m safe and well fed, but I’m still missing the best part of life: someone to love. When I go to sleep at night, I’m no longer afraid or hungry, but I dream of home — a place of warmth, love and happiness. I’m about 36 pounds, tan and white, a Hound/Shepherd mix female. The best part of me is beyond description—my loving heart, which will be yours forever when you take me to that wonderful place you call home.

Hi… my name is Silky,

Adopted 7-13-17

You know when a cat lets you clean cactus out of its ears with “no issues,” it was mighty uncomfortable! Well I can attest to that, because when my rescuer found me while walking her dog I was downright miserable so ran right up to her! She planned on keeping me, but since I wasn’t too amenable to being social with her dog and cat, she decided maybe I needed yet another start in life. She said that I totally love people though, and will sometimes knock stuff out of your hands so you can pet me! I’m a petite declawed girl who’s only about 18 months old, and if you’re the kind of person who dotes on your pet, well, ahem, here I am!

Hi… my name is Freddy,

Adopted 7-18-17

You don’t often hear “listens well” and “cat” in the same sentence! Well, you don’t know me! My people also said I’m a “good mouser” (even though I never went outside!), “eat bugs” (you can forget your exterminator!), like toys and to be brushed, and am very loving and smart. In short, I’m the quintessential orange tabby boy – outgoing, friendly with everyone, and just a simple joy to have around! I lived with my people for six months, but severe allergies finally won out over my sparkling personality, so this is your chance to partake of the pleasure of my company. At just 11 months old, we’ve got tons of time ahead of us to get to know each other!

Hi…my name is Gypsy,

Adopted 4-8-18

Calling all you “crazy cat guys” out there (versus the usual crazy cat LADY)! For some reason I way prefer men to women so won’t you come check me out? Anyone familiar with the “big-eyed waif” art of Margaret Keane will recognize me immediately – and indeed a “waif” I was! A couple headed for emergency care saw me sitting by the side of the road and despite their hurry, scooped me up and dropped me off here on the way (thank you, nice people!). I think maybe because I’m so slim my eyes really do pop, but that just makes me all the more striking. Add to that my almost-black torti coat (there really is some orange in there!) and you have a girl who’ll knock your socks off.

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

Moving day was also good-bye day for me and the people I’d lived with for many years. There just wasn’t room for all of us at their new place, which was sad, but I prefer to think of it this way: When it comes to being a great companion, I’ve earned lots of “know-how.” I’ve lived peacefully with other dogs and cats, I’m leash trained, and happily welcome affection—I love to be petted. You could say the past years have been a trial run for the forever home of my dreams, where I’ll play fetch, adore my person and cuddle with them every day. I’m a mainly tan, 22-pound Chihuahua mix male, 10-1/2 years old, which means I have FREE Vet Care for life. May I spend my happily ever after with you?

Hi… my name is Sherman,

Adopted 7-8-17

I was a lost dog no one knew. My rescuer saw me wandering a cul-de-sac and brought me here, where people started noticing the special things that make me who I am. First, I’m young—about 10 months old, and a nice size—28 pounds (slender and athletic looking). I’m probably a Shepherd mix, definitely a male, and—even when my ears perk up—a real handsome guy. Although shy at first, I let people pet me, and soon my confidence started to grow. I became the real me—friendly, sweet, and lively. I’m learning how to walk on a leash and other important stuff, but here’s a secret: I’m still a little lonely. I so much want to be the most special thing I can be: Somebody’s dog. Could you be my somebody?
