Hi… my name is Chance,

Adopted with Dice 9-2-17

I guess someone had gambling on their mind when my littermates, Keno, Dice, Slots and I were named! We were just wee things when we arrived so went to live with a foster mom until we “made weight” and could come to TALGV to show off our wares (if you look real close, you’ll see a heart and a diamond on my right side, so I’m SURE to bring good luck!). Well, we’ve been languishing here for too long now because there’s just so much competition in the kitten department, but spend some time with any of us (hunker down and let us “do our purr thing” in your lap!), and you’ll wonder how we got overlooked! “Kitten” pretty much says it all, so why not take two ‘cause we’d be twice the fun!

Hi… my name is Sarge,

Adopted 10-2-17

I was a lost dog (found on La Canada), without a home or person of my own, but I still think it’s a wonderful world! I’m in a great place now and someday soon (I’m an optimistic guy), someone wonderful is going to take me home. The kind person who rescued me said I was “very, very friendly,” and when someone says “very” twice, you now they really mean it! However, I’ve not liked some of the other dogs I’ve met and definitely not cats; but around people I know and love, I’m playful, lively, and ready for fun. At 3 years old and 32 pounds, I’m a sturdy Blue Heeler mix male who thrives on activity, can be protective and cautious of strangers, a brave and loyal companion. Please let me be yours!

Hi… my name is Darcy,

Adopted 8-6-17

I’ve experienced some big changes in my young life. My owner died, his family couldn’t keep me, a kind friend fostered me for a few weeks, and now I’m here. But I’m still a typical puppy—fun-loving, cute, and energetic. Plus I have special qualities that make me who I am: I’m smart (catch on to most training quickly), love to play in water (like a wading pool) and cuddle with people (sometimes I think I’m littler than I am). When fostered, I got along with three small dogs and loved to play; my foster people called me “a very kind and patient dog.” An 8-month-old Staffie female, 36 pounds, a beauty in black and white, I love almost everyone I meet. Make me yours and I’ll love you most of all and always!

Hi… my name is Ellie,

Adopted 10-15-17

Yes, I know, many orange tabbies are guys, but nope, I’m a gal, and according to my mom, I’m a super sweet one at that! She said I love to play with toys, adore people, and am a real “meeter and greeter” who, as they say, never met a stranger. Sadly, she couldn’t afford to care for my housemate and me any longer (pet ownership does come with financial responsibilities, I guess), so she made the decision to relinquish us so that we could find homes where we’d be sure to get better care (and attention since she had to work a lot). I’m a 3-year-old, who, okay, might not be the most drop-dead-gorgeous “looker” in the world, but I make up for that ten times over in personality!

Hi… my name is Biggs,

Adopted 4-14-18

The volunteers gave me a close going over when I arrived here, noticing an injured toenail, missing skin from a paw pad (I walked some hot paths when I was lost), and they called me skinny—which meant more kibble in my dish. Even better, they called me gentle and sweet. I want everyone to know that being a loving, loyal companion is my highest aspiration, so I keep on being friendly, trying to please my person on the leash, learning their words, and generally being the kind of good dog who gets a good home. I’m a 2-year-old, 51-pound, tan and white Staffie mix male, and you might kindly say I’m cute. I know what it is to be lost and hungry. Will you teach me what it is to have a home?

He is leash and crate trained and needs lots of outdoor exercise, play time, and companionship to keep him content. He is very quiet and gets along with smaller dogs and children over 10; cats are unknown. There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Pooh into a loving home as part of your family, please call Mauricio any time at 520-403-1022 (leave voicemail).
