Hi… my name is Macy,

Rehomed with 4 friends 5-2-18

Sometimes well-meaning people bite off more than they can chew! That’s what happened with our mom when she took in a few stray cats, couldn’t afford medical care or to have them spayed and neutered, and ended up with a whole passel of us! Happily, TALGV’s Outreach Program came to the rescue, and here we are, sweet as pie albeit a bit shy at the moment, but all totally eager to find new homes and people to love. I’m a beautiful, dainty 11-month-old Torbie girl who loves people, gets along with other cats (obviously, since I lived with so many!), and I know that my life is going to be exactly the thing I’ve been dreaming of once I’m settled with you!

Hi… my name is Opie,

Adopted 7-9-17

When the temperatures reach 115, as W. C. Fields said, “It ain’t a fit night out for man or beast!” When I was found on Helmet Peak Road, I was covered with cactus stickers and my paws were so burned that I could barely walk. Thankfully, as the days go by the balm they’re putting on them is helping me heal, and my handsome orange fur is finally picker-free, so now I’m checking out the visitors to see if I can convince one of them to help me make the memories of that ordeal disappear forever. I’m just as typically sweet and outgoing as most orange tabbies, so I’m hopeful that it won’t take long for that special person to come along!

Hi… my name is Lexi,

Adopted with Chico 8-15-17

Comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

My buddy Chico and I have been together since we were puppies. He’s a Lab mix male, and I’m a German Shepherd mix female, mainly black, 11 years old and 54 pounds. Our former people no longer have room for us, so we’re extra glad to have each other. I’m somewhat shy but becoming comfortable with the volunteers, and although our former family thought we might have trouble with small children, the young teenagers who help here at TALGV have become our great friends and walk partners. And we love all the comforts of living indoors for a change! Chico and I want to stay together, so please know we each have FREE Vet Care for Life, and offer two hearts full of gratitude and love if you’ll let us be family with you.

Arrived 6-20-17

Note: Lexie is available for adoption with her long-time companion, Chico.

My dear friend Lexi and I have been together since we were puppies. She’s a German Shepherd mix female; I’m a rust-colored Lab mix male. Since our former people no longer have room for us, we’re really glad to have each other. I’m 12 years old, 74 pounds, and I’m “the friendly one”—sweet Lexi is more shy. Our former people thought we’d have trouble with small children, but the young teenagers who help here at TALGV have become our great friends and walk partners. And we love all the comforts of living indoors for a change! Lexi and I want to stay together, so please know we each come with FREE Vet Care for Life, and offer two hearts full of gratitude and love if you’ll let us be family with you.

Hi… my name is Cuddle Bug (aka Cuddles),

Adopted with Squeaker 9-3-17

Comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

Bet you never heard of a “seeing eye cat!” Well, that’s what I am for my BFF, Squeaker, as I’ve lived with her all my life, and have become her “guide cat” by making sure she gets around okay (so we need to be adopted together). Not to be outdone in the special department though, in my own right I’m a charmer (and a beautiful one at that with my awesome Maine Coon coat and sparkling personality!), so with the two of us, you’re sure to have drawn the winning straw! I’m 13 years old now (so come with free vet care), and I can promise that the two of us will enrich your life as much as you’ll do that for us!

Arrived 6-17-17

Note: Needs to be adopted with blind companion, Squeaker.

Bet you never heard of a “seeing eye cat!” Well, that’s what my BFF, Cuddle Bug, is as I’ve lived with her all my life, and she’s my “guide cat” by making sure I get around okay (so we need to be adopted together). Not that I don’t get around on my own, mind you! All you have to do is walk into the room and I’ll come running up to you for attention (and LOTS of it!). I was born blind 14 years ago, so I really don’t know what I’m “missing;” all I know is that I love loving and I can promise that the two of us (both of whom come with free vet care), will enrich your life as much as you’ll do that for us!

Arrived 6-17-17

Note: Needs to be adopted with companion, Cuddle Bug.

Hi… my name is Henry,

Adopted 8-17-17

When I was rescued from a highway—a little guy, out there all alone—I went from terrifying experience to this safe, comfy place. Quite dehydrated when I arrived, the first important thing was water. Then came my little room, with a soft bed (where I stayed at first because I was very shy), and lots of comforting words. (Confidentially, the word “bath” also came up; I’m happy to report it turned out to be a soothing thing.) And now I’m learning about the good life—people hold me, take me for walks, we play in the big room, and they compliment my sweet brown eyes, extraordinary ears, and quiet charm. A 1-year-old Chihuahua male, 14 pounds, all I want now is a caring someone who’ll let me love them forever. Is that you?

Hi… my name is Phoebe,

Adopted 7-16-17

Hard to imagine, but I guess sometimes you can have “too much of a good thing!” Well, that’s what happened with my mom, because her new landlord told her that she’d gone a bit over her pet limit with her dogs and my brother, Holden, and me. (We’ve been together all our lives and are really bonded, so it would be heaven if we could stay together.) Mom said I’m friendly, cuddly, and easygoing, “eat anything” (no picky feline here!), and at just 4 years old, will make a wonderful lap decoration for years to come! I got along with the dogs in the house, too, so with all those pluses, I can’t think of any reason why you wouldn’t want to make me yours!
