Hi… my name is Sergei,

Adopted 1-25-17

If you’re looking for a laid back, quiet, unassuming feline, well, I’m not the one for you! My family adopted me when I was a wee kitten, and true to my nature, I was into everything. I’ll play with and fetch just about anything, and love chasing those dangly fishing-pole-type toys. I got along great with the dog in the house, but my rambunctiousness was just too much for the resident cat, so my people decided I needed a home that had other critters that were a match for my enthusiasm (or of course, it could be just me in your life!). I’ve got that typical thick, sleek fur of the Russian Blue along with their outgoing nature, so if it’s entertainment you’re looking for, you couldn’t do better than me!

Hi… my name is Rena,

Adopted 5-10-17

In case you never noticed, cats can be picky! I lived most of my 8½ years with one other cat and we got along swimmingly. Then little kids, more felines, and dogs (eek!) started arriving, and, well, I really needed anxiety medicine! So mom decided that a quiet, settled home would be best for me, and boy do I ever agree! Although I can be shy with strangers, with my person I’m very sweet, like to be petted, hugged, and brushed, adore laser lights, and as an added bonus, I love to hunt bugs (you could eliminate your pest control service)! So won’t you give me a second chance to prove that life really is better when a furry feline fills your fancy?

Hi… my name is Watts,

Adopted 2-13-17

I’m such an optimistic, happy-go-lucky guy, I’ll even say that being a stray worked out okay for me. It was not a bowl of cherries—no home, family, or regular meals—but, lucky me, someone wonderful came to my rescue. They said I liked their kids (ages 9-12), but “no chickens!” Asked about my strengths, they said I was “smart, kind, dedicated to family,” with a “good attitude.” To those great qualities you can add that I know “sit” and played Frisbee with my finders! Of course, your opinion matters most, so I’d love to meet you. I’m an 18-month-old Shar Pei mix male, black and tan. My finders noticed a couple of scars, but my heart is still super friendly and I’d love to give it to you forever. Can we meet today?

Hi… my name is Kristy,

Adopted 3-19-17

When I was lost, I wandered into the yard of a woman who has four sons and three dogs. No wonder I was drawn there! My finder said that in our brief time together, I was very sweet to her four boys (ages 5, 8, 10 and 12), and volunteers here talk about my sweetness, too. I guess that’s because I’m gentle and calm, but at just 2 years of age, I still like to play! Whatever brings me close to my person—that’s what I enjoy. I’m a beautiful blue-grey Staffie mix female, too thin when found but now feeling good at 34 pounds. So if you want to hike, play, or hang out at home and always have a dog who thinks the sun rises and sets with you—I’m the one.

Hi… my name is Sonni,

Adopted 2-14-17

Petite and sweet – that’s me! I didn’t live with my dad for very long when he developed serious health issues and simply didn’t have the energy to devote enough time to my sister, Nova (who has already found a new home, lucky thing!), and me. He loved us dearly though, as we were both pretty laid back and spent a lot of time in his lap while he scratched our ears and gave us “to die for” head rubs. Since I’m still considered a youngster at 11 months of age, I’ve got years and years ahead of me to lavish my love on a new person or two, so when you decide that feline love is what you crave, I’ll be here waiting!

Hi… my name is Emma,

Adopted 5-3-17

Here’s something you may already know: Dogs don’t always like each other. Sadly, I didn’t get along with the Rat Terrier at my former home, so now I’m hoping someone else will love me! My former people said I have lots of good qualities. For instance, they say I’m leash-trained, and already know commands like “sit,” “down,” and “off.” Plus, I’m very loyal; I’ll sit with you and “give paw” for hours! And, by the way, I love sitting in the sun; maybe we could do that together. Most of all, I want to belong to someone with that give-love and get-love kind of relationship. I’m a 6-year-old, cream-colored Boxer/Lab mix female, very slender at 35 pounds, and if you give me the chance, I’ll do my very best to earn your love forever!

Hi… my name is Malia,

They say, “All things come to those who wait,” but I sure hope that I don’t have to wait too long, ‘cause I’m pretty anxious at the moment in this strange (and very busy!) place. My friend, Sasha, and I have always been laid back, quiet ladies, and since we lost our home, it’s really been hard on us. The wonderful caregivers here are doing their best to reassure us that life will be good for us again someday, but I’ll bet it’d be much easier for us to believe that in a quiet home of our own. I’m a 4½ -year-old tabby lady, who’d give anything to share life’s slower pace with you (and maybe with Sasha too!), so won’t you make my dreams come true?
