Sunny

SUNNY is a playful and smart 55-pound 2-year-old Shepherd/ Husky mix who needs a new home as rescuer is unable to keep her. She has a beautiful white coat, is housebroken, and asks to go out. She is spayed, is up to date with shots, and is microchipped. Sunny walks on leash, knows “back” and “wait” and is working on other commands and house manners, but she learns quickly when treats are rewarded. She is a bit slow to warm up but wants to be friendly with people. Sunny needs lots of exercise and a secure fenced-in yard is advisable; she would do best with another dog of same size to play with but can be protective of owner. There is no adoption fee for this special girl.

Humans can be pretty hard to understand sometimes! My family (mom, pop, kids, and dog) moved out of state a while back and left my sister, Kami, and me in the yard! We’d all gotten along so well, so I said, “Hey guys, you forgot us,” but I guess they didn’t hear me. Fortunately, the neighbors minded us for a while (they said, “They came to us for love and food,”) but they couldn’t keep us, so now we’re looking for a family that will cherish us for the sweethearts we are (and never, ever dream of leaving us behind!). I’m a 5-month-old tuxedo boy who’d love to stay with my sister, but if not, I’ll be happy to grace your life alone.

I’m a popular pup with lots of great friends, but in my own little way—from my puppy point of view—I know life will be even better when I belong to someone! My finder couldn’t keep me and so left me at a vet’s office. They took care of me overnight and then brought me here, where I’ve heard lots about dogs and happy people taking them home. Those stories help me believe there’s a wonderful someone for me, too. I’m 2 months old, an adorable tan and white Staffie mix male, 12 pounds and growing. What’s big in my little life? I had puppies not too long ago, so I know about that big responsibility—making sure everyone is present and accounted for, fed and protected. But now that my pups are growing and moving on to their own homes, I can relax a bit and enjoy a little extra attention for me, too! I’d almost forgotten how nice it is to have someone pet your head, take you for a walk in the sunshine, and talk kindly. Some of that kind talk is complimentary about my big brown eyes and soft blonde coat, but mainly I just love the company. I have my figure back, now just 34 pounds—a nice size for many different households—so how about we meet today and see if we’re a nice fit into each other’s hearts, too.
