My sister Amber and I have a lot in common. (I call her “sister” because we’re from the same home; we may not have been from the same litter, but we’re definitely family.) Amber and I are both small dogs (I’m a charcoal and white Terrier mix male), we’re both 13 years old, and we both come with FREE vet care for life! Best of all, the most wonderful thing we share is l-o-v-e. We love each other and we loved our human mom. But Mom had to move to a nursing home. (By the way, wouldn’t it be great if every nursing home had a dog wing?) So now, Amber and I are being well looked after in foster care. If you’d like to know more about us, please give TALGV a call.

You could say I did need assistance when I wandered into an assisted living facility with my dog buddy Pierre, and soon we were at TALGV. Lots of good things have happened here—they gave me a new collar because my old one was too tight, trimmed my nails, and made me feel welcome and cared for. My friend Pierre then had the best news—he was adopted! I understand why—he’s very cute and friendly. My friends say I’m cute and dear, too, so my hopes are high. Must admit I’m shy, and my charm is the quiet, cuddly kind, but maybe that’s the type of friend you’d like? I’m a 9-year-old Doxie mix female, 11 pounds, and if your heart is open to a loving little dog, I’m here waiting for you.

One happy day not long ago, my new person and I left TALGV together, all smiles and blissfully unaware that our time together would be far too short. When she died, I came back here, where my many friends have given me love and understanding. They encourage my hopes of another chance at happiness, saying I’m a really sweet fellow with an easy-going nature that lots of people will like. At 99 pounds, I’m something of a gentle giant, loving and calm, and quite willing to focus on pleasing you, like being well behaved when we go for a walk. I’m a 7-year-5-month-old Staffie mix male with amber eyes and a sleek gray coat, a very handsome guy inside and out, who’s looking forward to my forever happy home with someone wonderful like you.

When my dad lost his home, he had just a few weeks to move and could only find an apartment that allowed a single pet, so the dadgummed dog got to go (I personally think that’s “species profiling” myself!). So…all my five feline housemates and I came here where we’ve been “fixed” (that’s how he ended up with so many of us!), gotten much needed checkups to make sure we’re healthy (we are!), and now we’d all like to find places that will be ours forever. I’m a 1-year-old black and white boy (with some Siamese thrown in), who is gentle and laid back, very well behaved and social, and get along with everyone. Sound like great bona fides to me, so come make me yours – time’s a-wastin’ for us both!
