My world changed when my person died last year. Another family member took care of my brother, Happy, and me, but they couldn’t do that long-term. So coming here to TALGV was another big change for us, but you know how resilient dogs can be. Given a little time and kindness, we once again find the good things in life, and that’s what I’ve done. Plus, as a good-natured Shepherd (except with cats!) I’m eager to be devoted to and happy with my person. I’m a 5 1/2-year-old male, an exceptionally handsome black and tan Shepherd mix, who’ll be ever so happy to meet you. Won’t you please come see if I’m the dog for you? If you welcome me to your home forever, I’ll be your loyal companion for forever, too.

I can’t fault my people for giving me up because they didn’t have time for me. It’s not fun being lonely, without enough love and attention, so I appreciate their concern. Also, they shared lots of the good things they know about me, saying I’m very sweet, love to cuddle, and know commands like “sit,” “lay down,” and “outside.” The volunteers here like me, too, noting that I’m nicely calm for a 9-month-old puppy, and how they enjoy my affectionate nature. Guess you could say I’m a puppy who loves to be loved! I’m 9 months old, 36 pounds, an Aussie/Mastiff mix female with a distinctive brindle coat. I love rope toys, playing with balls, and, most of all, people. And I’ll be the happiest dog around when you make me yours!

I’m such a loyal dog, my person was unsure how I might feel about her new baby (not here yet but on the way). My previous family had found they’d no time for me after their new baby was born, so I’ve been down this road before. But that’s okay. I’m capable of loving lots of people. In my last home, the 11-year-old child and I got along “great.” My former person described me as “very sweet…a very good girl” and said I love to play, which is so true! I’m a 5-1/2-year-old American Bulldog female who’s happy trotting by your side on a walk, chasing a ball, or even going for a run. I know “sit, come, stay,” and how to love with my whole heart.
