APRIL is a cute, social, and sweet 6-year-old, 14-pound purebred Pekingese (no papers) who needs a new home. Her dad died and dogs in new family are not welcoming her. She is okay with other dogs, but cats and children are unknown. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. Medical records are available. She is housebroken and asks to go out. April is very affectionate, loves to walk, and usually sleeps with owner. She needs to be in a home with someone who has time to dote on her. There is no adoption fee. I’m here at TALGV with Piper, my canine BFF, because our person wants the best for us. Due to health issues, she no longer can give us the care and active lifestyle she wants us to enjoy, so we need a new home where love and fun abound. I’m a 2-year-old female, a beautiful black Terrier mix, about 27 pounds, adorable from the tip of my tail to the tips of my extraordinary ears! I have lots of good manners, but I especially want you to know that my favorite activities are playing, cuddling, and receiving belly rubs. I also love Piper and we really want to stay together. MARKIE is a 3-year old male, Chihuahua/corgi mix. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He will do best with a little lady dog or even better, as the only dog – Top Dog as he likes to think of it. Markie is a love bug and enjoys being spoken to, sitting on a lap or up against you. He chases a cat that runs from him but ignores another one. Markie walks well on a leash and is well behaved when you pick him up to run in a store or stop at a stand, etc. He isn’t into other dogs; he pretty much ignores them. He loves his person and those times when you can’t take him with you, he will be watching out from the window for your return. There is no adoption fee.

SIMBA is a handsome 8-month-old, 40-pound, Catahoula Leopard dog mix with a sweet personality. He was found in the desert by owner who has several pets already. He is up to date on shots and will be neutered courtesy of TALGV. Currently he is an inside/outside dog who is playful and loving. Simba is good with kids and other dogs; cats are unknown. This friendly dog knows “sit” and does not jump… he wants only to please his new family. There is no adoption fee.

I’ve definitely had a patch of bad luck in the human department! My first mom died after I’d been with her for several years, and then the lady who adopted me next became ill and wasn’t able to care for me, so you can understand why I have hopes as high as the sky that my next move will be my last! I’m a sweet declawed 13-year-old (so come with Free Vet Care for Life), who loves to sit in sunny windows or follow you around and join in your daily routine. At the odd moment, I even have the urge to chase a toy around the house, but mostly I like to take it easy and revel in life’s simple pleasures. If quiet is your thing, you and I were meant to be!
