Red

Hi… my name is Red,

Though I may be on the smaller side, I’m a survivor who is part adventurer and all heart. After being adopted, I got scared and slipped away just before dark. Unbelievably, I survived on my own in the desert for four whole weeks before finding my way back to TALGV by myself. I was thinner, dusty, and decorated with burrs, but very much alive and relieved to see my doggie friends! Everyone says I’m one tough cookie with a bright spark and a brave little spirit. I can still be shy with new people, so I need a patient family willing to go the extra mile to keep me safe while I learn that I’m finally home. Once I trust you, though, I’ll color your world with loyalty, love, and a whole lot of heart.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Snickers,

Turns out I’m excellent at domestic life. House-trained? Check. Great on leash? Check. Professional cookie-baking supervisor? Absolutely. My foster dad says I’m a natural in the kitchen, and I’m learning that counter surfing is NOT helpful; however, I can be helpful with cleaning crumbs off the floor! I was found as a stray, pregnant and alone. My puppies found their forever homes, and now it’s my turn to find a family of my own. I’m affectionate, playful, and happiest being near my people—whether we’re walking the neighborhood, lounging on the couch, or being on kitchen clean-up duty. My specialties include making people laugh, warming laps, and turning ordinary days into something sweeter. Basically, I’m charming with a hint of mischievousness, and impossible not to love. Are you hungry for some love? Grab a Snickers — ME!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Flower,

Found pregnant, scared, and covered in cactus (zero stars! I do not recommend), I came to TALGV and raised ten beautiful puppies. Now my babies have grown up, and it’s finally my turn to be someone’s baby. I’m a sensitive, soulful girl who bonds closely with my people—laundry helper, dishwashing assistant, and happy hiking buddy. I walk beautifully on leash and greet you with full-body wiggles every time. My hobbies include squeaky-toy fetch, belly rubs, brushing, chewing a good bone, and chasing butterflies like my own nature show. I’m gentle with kids and eager to please with kind, consistent guidance. Fun fact: I’ll need a secure yard with a wall over four feet to keep me safe. My “mom” days are finally over, now I’m ready to belong to my own forever family – perhaps with you?

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Kris Kringle,

I’ve gotta give my people credit. They had me for six years until I began fighting with my male housemate. They relinquished me to TALGV, but soon missed me so much they reclaimed me, hoping things would work out. As you can guess, things didn’t change, so now I’m dreaming of a “one cat” home (namely ME!). Mom says although I’m not the most demonstrative guy (maybe that’s because as a youngster I was dumped in a parking lot, so haven’t quite forgotten that experience), I like being with you on my terms, lying near you on a couch or bed. If you’re willing to give this handsome guy a try, I sure will give it my all! (5/21)

Hi… my name is Denali,

My name means “the great one,” and while I try to stay humble, I do live up to it in all the best ways. I’m a brown and white gentleman with a friendly heart and a soft spot for being petted. Honestly, if there were an Olympic sport for soaking up affection, I’d bring home the gold. I’m the kind of dog who leans into your hands like it’s my full-time job and looks at you like you hang the moon and stars in the sky every night. I love meeting new people, making fast friends, and spreading good vibes wherever my paws go. I’ve got just the right mix of playful energy and chill charm. All I’m missing is a home where I can be your loyal sidekick. Choose me, and I’ll make sure your decision is “the great one!”

Hi… my name is Cherry,

I came to The Animal League as a stray, kittens in tow. The kittens are all squared away and now I need a safe home. My coat is a solid soft grey and sometimes it looks like I have a lion’s mane. I’m a petite girl who’s working at being around people.  So far I keep to myself on the floor behind a cat tree or hide in a cubby, but the volunteers are working to make me feel approachable. I think I’ll really blossom in a regular home with someone who has patience. Can that someone be you?  Please?

Hi… my name is Breezy,

I would love to live up to my name and breeze right into your life, ready to give and receive affection!  I’ve known the life of a stray and thankfully had a nice home after that. I will approach visitors to my room and rub their legs. I love petting and brushing, which I really need because my coat is long. I will purr my thank yous! I get along with my feline roommates here but I like to sleep alone in a cubby. If you come with a toy, I will likely play with you. Come on by; let’s get acquainted!

Hi… my name is Bamboo,

I’m trying to live up to my name by being flexible in my new home! I came to The Animal League as a stray, kittens in tow. The kittens are all squared away and now I’m looking for a safe home. My coat is a soft grey with a white spot on my chest. I’m a petite girl who’s slowly getting used to being around people. So far I keep to myself on the floor behind a cat tree, but the volunteers who make the effort can pet me. I purr my thanks for ear scratches. I think I’ll really blossom in a regular home.

Hi… my name is Mila,

I’m a quiet tan sweetheart with a gentle soul and a world-class talent for getting cozy. I’m not the type to demand the spotlight — I prefer soft moments, kind people, and a really good back scratch. Give me a few loving rubs, and I’ll melt faster than ice cream on an Arizona summer sidewalk. Once I feel safe and comfy, I curl myself into a ball like a warm cinnamon roll with paws. It’s adorable, and yes, I know it. I’m calm, loving, and happiest when I’m close to someone who appreciates the sweeter, quieter things in life. Think of me as your personal cuddle companion with excellent manners and soulful eyes. If your home could use more warmth, peace, and gentle love, I would fit right in beside you perfectly.

Hi… my name is Shamrock,

Would you like some good luck? Maybe I can bring it to you. I love attention and I am a lap cat. I purr, purr, purr.  I will always have a limp because of an old injury (perhaps hit by a car), but that doesn’t slow me down when I run and play. I’m resilient! Although my face may be a little crooked, I eat well. In my previous home I tried my best to get out the door (sometimes succeeding). The best situation for me is to have a screened-in catio or a window seat to allow me to view the outdoors safely. I’m sweet and energetic, just waiting to meet you!
