Animal League News

Hi… my name is Herm,

A word about my name: it’s short for something but Herm is just easier. My owner relinquished me so that I could find a home where I could get more attention. Not that I’m needy or anything!  However, I will point out that if you DO pet me, I’m likely to roll over for belly rubs and brushing. I have a big plume at the end of my tail and white feet to set off my silky tabby coat. I’m OK with dogs and other cats—in fact I do best when I have a buddy to sleep with. If a friendly, affectionate companion is what you seek, please come meet me!

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Or you may call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.

Luna is a sweet, obedient, and loyal 3-year-old, 95-pound German Shepherd female who needs a new home. She is crate trained, leash trained, and obedience trained. She is housebroken and asks to go out. She is in good health, spayed, up to date on shots and medical records are available. Luna can be protective of food and she does not get along well with other dogs or cats; children are unknown. She likes walking and playing with toys but also likes to relax with her person. There is no adoption fee for this special girl.

If you will welcome Luna into a loving home as part of your family, please call Sarah at 303-906-0734.

Hi… my name is Lucky,

“He truly has been an amazing dog!” That’s a quote from my foster mom. I got along well with the resident dogs, but unfortunately, not the cat! Otherwise, I might have made a good addition to the family. During meals I showed no food aggression and politely “sit” when served. I love playing a game of tug-of-war and with my chew toys. I have also been willing to share. I’m potty trained, use a doggy door, and sleep all night in my bed. Barking is not something I do a lot, unless I’m invited to join a “canine chorus,” then my bark would make any watch dog proud. I’m still a sweet, easy-going puppy at heart. I know you’ve heard the phrase, “get lucky,” well this Lucky is ready to get a new home, and if you’re ready to get lucky, I’m ready to go home!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Crest,

I’m taking applications for someone to adopt me into their loving, caring home. Is that you?  I hope so. I’m waiting at The Animal League where my siblings and I were brought in by a considerate lady. She found us in her neighborhood. So once again you hear: “our history is a mystery.”  For a short time, I lived with my humans, a small dog and another cat. I adored my humans but dominated the resident pets. Perhaps I prefer being an only pet since I crave human attention. I love my human(s) to pet, brush, and play with me. If you want a handsome guy  devoted to you,  please come check me out!

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Or you may  call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Ipana,

I’m taking applications for someone to adopt me into their loving, caring home. Is that you? I hope so. I’m waiting at The Animal League where my siblings and I were brought in by a considerate lady who found us in her neighborhood. So once again you hear: “our history is a mystery.” But guess what? I am one of the sweetest cats you will ever meet! I’m shy, but I love to be talked to by the volunteers. I’m slowly coming out of my “shell” to appreciate their petting. I’m easy-going and laze around in the cozy cat tree cubby. If you want a lovely mellow gal, I’m yours. Please come meet me!

Hi… my name is Valentine,

My little family of six and I were found around Delgado and Sahuarita Roads. We were brought to The Animal League where my pups soon became old enough to leave me and begin their new lives. I’m a sweet, 2-year-old Doberman mother who recently became an empty nester. I was a good mother and naturally when all of my precious pups left, I became very sad. I’m shy around people, but the volunteers have been very understanding. I know with their encouragement I’ll come out of my shell. Since I probably never enjoyed living in a “real” home, I’m ready to experience one now. I know there’s a lot of love within me just waiting for that patient person to share it with. The next step is yours. I’m waiting for you!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Alexa,

My last home was in a senior facility where I was kept in close quarters with other pets (including a dog). I didn’t like this, so here I am! My coat is pure white except for a streak of grey on my head. I’m a big girl and like being brushed. I’m getting used to my new environment, and I like to sleep on a cat tree. I think I’d do best in a quieter home where I had room to find my own space away from other pets. In the past I have sometimes shown my displeasure, but with the right home I think I could put this behind me.

Ace

Hi… my name is Ace,

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION WITH BONDED COMPANION ARIEL

Fearful and timid, my bonded mate Ariel and I peer out of our cubby when volunteers enter the room. Our young lives have been in a whirl ever since we were found in Oklahoma City and brought to The Animal League. What’s our story? We lived in a foster home with a human couple and other resident cats, but no dogs or children visited. My human mom said that I liked to play with small toys, sit in my cat tree close to Ariel, and sleep close to Ariel in the den. We desire a safe home with patient humans to care for us. Is that you? We sure hope so!

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Or you may  call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Oliver,

Do you know what “purrfection” is to me? A home where I can be myself: a gentle, tolerant guy who enjoys chasing a laser light now and again (you just can’t catch those things, can you?). I also enjoy eating (a comforting thing sometimes!). In my first home I did not get along with the snooty resident cat who said she was there first.  In my second home, the humans did not understand my feline ways, them being “dog people and all.”  They said I would make a great cat for a cat person. As a quintessential, outgoing orange tabby, I know there are lots of people who are partial to “my kind,” so let’s get together!  (2-13-24)

Hi… my name is Harley,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

My foster mom says I’m a great dog and a great house guest, and I say that’s because I love being around people. I’m good on a leash, although I do need someone strong on the other end. And if you like to jog, I’ll run by your side. Granted, I do not enjoy the company of other dogs, but I try hard to please my human friends. I know several commands, will ask to go out when need be and will gladly play a game of fetch or just relax and sunbathe. I get a little anxious when left alone, so when you return, I’ll give you a very happy welcome!  Another positive: I come with Vet Care Support for Life! All I need now is someone like you and a happy forever home.  (1/24)

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Miata,

I started life as a stray, but for the last year I lived with my best friend, Supercali. There were also young children and dogs in the home. Something wasn’t to my liking, and I began misbehaving. However, my owner said I was super sweet and love to play and be petted. I’ve been hanging out on the floor underneath a cat tree, but I come right out to rub your legs. I will jump in your lap and put my paws on your chest! I would love to find a quiet home with you and return the affection I get. Why not come meet me and see for yourself?

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Or you may  call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.

PS My baby pictures are shown at end of the gallery.
