When I encountered several javelinas in Amado, I took refuge in a nearby yard. Since I’ve been here at TALGV, I’ve become quite popular, mainly because I’m so friendly, patient and good natured. I know how to sit when told and I can use a doggie door. I may be strong, but I do walk well on a leash. Since I recently demonstrated my climbing ability, I will need an enclosure from which I can’t escape. If you aren’t familiar with my breed, I can tell you that I’m playful, endearing, comical, sometimes stubborn, mischievous, but ALWAYS devoted. I actually thrive on affection and exercise. It was just the two of us for seven quiet years until my owner, who had me since I was a kitten, passed away. A kind lady friend took me into her home that already had dogs and two bonded cats, but I never did become a member of their tight-knit club and spent the last two years in a separate room, so you could say I am independent. Sadly, she passed away too, so here I am. I’m a splendidly handsome longhaired, 9-year-old grey tabby guy with an arresting “marbled” eye, and I hope that with some patience, I’ll get to find out how wonderful being the only light of your life can be!

I’m an easygoing sort of fella that likes to just sit, observe and check things out, so I may seem a little shy at first, but I’m not. Once you call me over, I love to be petted, and enjoy lots of attention. My housemate, Cocoa, and I have been together since I was a kitten. Our mom passed away and we dearly miss her, so I know staying together would be a comfort to him in his golden years (and Cocoa to me, of course!). It’s nice that TALGV wants bonded pairs of cats (and dogs, of course!) to stay together when they’ve lost their homes. It makes adjusting to new lives so much easier for everyone. (The fact that we’re two for the price of one isn’t a turnoff either!) My sister, Mia, and I had a wonderful quiet life with mom (except when I was playing with toys!), just enjoying the good life watching birds, helping with chores, and simply “being there” for her. I’m pretty sure it won’t be long for me to adjust to a new person and home (especially with Mia with me), so why not start off 2021 with two new “love interests”?
