Beneath my curly coat, you’ll find a fun, happy guy who loves his brother (Louie), gets along with other dogs, and could be called athletic—my favorite outing is going for a walk; my favorite game is Fetch the Ball. Louie and I were littermates; we’ve always been together and we’re very bonded. (We eat and drink from the same dishes, and sleep together in our own little beds.) We’re 3-year-old Poodle males, (18 and 19 pounds), have been good with visiting young children, well mannered in the house, and Louie likes to watch TV, which I tolerate peacefully. We had a good life with our former people, but now they have health issues and are moving to a smaller place, so we need someone new to love. Could our someone-to-love forever be you?

When you see me running and playing, maybe doing one of my tricks like offering someone a paw to shake, you can tell I’m focused on happy times. Oh, there were tough days in the past, but as they say, it’s better to be from a broken home than in one. So I’m grateful to be here—it’s not home, but it’s full of friends (some even give me those shoulder massages that feel so good), and here I’ve earned my AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate for good behavior, for knowing how to sit, stay, come, and other important stuff. My former mom said I was housebroken, rode well in the car, and good when left home alone. So I’m set— ready to faithfully be by your side in our happy, fun, loving future together.

Uncle Gus and I want to explain why we should be adopted together. It’s our dog meets dog, dog likes dog, dog wants to stay with other dog forever story. I was a helper dog, fetching things my person dropped, helping her climb hills and stairs. But in time, she didn’t need me anymore, and as an active, intelligent, playful dog, I still needed a companion. That’s when Uncle Gus walked into my life and I was ecstatic! Although I’m definitely the poster boy for “before and after” pictures, trust me, you really don’t want to see the “before!” Due to untreated allergies, when I arrived I’d lost almost all my fur and was scratching myself bloody trying to make it feel better. But the wonderful volunteers treated me for weeks, put me on a special allergy diet (it’s just “regular” food but for guys like me – you people out there with allergies know what I’m talking about!), and now that I’m on the road to recovery, my buff fur is growing back beautifully, and I’m SOOO ready for a human I can rub against just for the pure joy of it. I’m really hoping you’ll be the one to make my new life paradise!
