When you hear that my dad had 14 cats and kittens, you’ll understand why my brother, Cheyenne, and I are here (you even might wonder why more of my tribe aren’t)! Rescuing lost souls is a wonderful thing, but sometimes it can get out of hand, both in space and food costs. As 6-month-old teenagers, we’re both hoping for homes where there’s a lot less competition for attention. My person has gone into hospice care, so I’m very glad to have been a comfort to her these past months. But when the time came to say goodbye, well, I don’t pretend to understand that, and when I came here, I was scared and even trembling a little. Then things got better. I started to relax, let more of the real me shine through, and soon people were bragging about what a great companion I’ll be—a happy dog who’s fun-loving, good at playing ball, and appreciates people in my own sweet, loving way. I do have things to learn and I’m willing! I’m a beautiful brindle and white 3-year-old Boxer mix female, eager to enjoy a carefree, happy-together future with someone to love for a good long time. My finder said that one day I just walked into their yard. We don’t know how I came to be lost, but I was lucky to have walked into that yard because those kind people brought me here. (I might have stayed longer with them, but I was way too interested in their cat.) I’m a young Staffie/Boxer mix female, and at 43 pounds I’m small for my breed, but mighty; that is, kind of strong and mighty cute, thanks especially to my beautiful gray and white markings and adorable ears. My finder said I was quite comfortable in a crate, which can be helpful, and very people friendly. I’m sure you’re dog friendly, so we could be a perfect match—for happiness, for love and for laughter. I’d love to be yours forever.

When TALGV’s Outreach volunteers were rounding up a litter of stray kittens at Wal-Mart, I got caught in “the raid” too! But that’s a good thing really, ‘cause although the free roaming life might be fun for a while, it’s got a lot of drawbacks, so I’m pretty happy I got nabbed. You can tell I’ve been on the lam for a while, as my coat needs some work, but I know good food, gentle grooming, and lots of love are going to turn me into one handsome devil! They’re thinking I’m about 2 years old, and although I look a little rough around the edges at the moment, my relative youth will come shining through in no time. Why not be around for the metamorphosis?
