Hi… my name is Mr. Clyde (aka Comet),

Adopted 6-11-17

My sister and I were adopted as puppies, renamed Bonnie and Clyde, and things were going great until a serious health issue arose for one of our people. As a result, they had to move to another state and knew there wouldn’t be time for us. Fortunately, Bonnie has already found a new home, and I’m ready to be next! A handsome 14-month-old black Lab, 73 pounds, I haven’t had formal training but I’m already really good on a leash and understand “no” and “down.” My best qualities? Probably my sweet nature and people-pleasing personality. I’ll be happy by your side for the active life as well as easy-going times. And believe me, I’ll be wanting you to be happy, too. So what do you say? Shall we take the happy trails together?

Hi… my name is Big Red,

Adopted 4-7-18

I’m called a gorgeous Lab/Shepherd mix, but I’m a humble guy—just call me “Red”—and trusting people is hard for me. Fortunately, I love other dogs! We have great fun together and I watch and learn from them. In my foster family, my best dog friend taught me how to use the doggie door, eat around people and other dogs, and even how to let people be affectionate with me. Turns out, it can be awesome! I understand some important words and also can be quite content just playing with my favorite toy. Deep in my heart, I hold the dream of my own home, sharing life with another dog and our loving person or family, who’ll be very patient while I learn to trust. Could my dream come true with you?

Hi… my name is Samantha,

Adopted 12-28-17

I’ve got my paws crossed that the old “third time’s a charm” proverb is going to work for me! I’ve had two “outings” since I came here after my dad died, but neither worked out (young kids teased me and the other cat beat me up!), so I’m really hopeful that I can find a quiet home with a settled human or two where it’s just me. The volunteers quickly discovered that I adore petting, am super sweet (and am very playful when not being intimidated!), so I know that in a peaceful new home I’ll settle in and be my old affectionate self again. I’m a 5-year-old declawed lady, so if you’re thinking about doing a good deed, I’d be a grateful to be on the receiving end!

Hi… my name is Dudley (aka Rusty),

Adopted 5-27-17

There oughta be a law: whenever someone has to go into assisted living, they must bring their best friend with them! I’m going to be lobbying for that, but unfortunately even if passed, it’ll be too late for me! Mom loved me for three of my nine years, and said I was easygoing, affectionate, in good health, and loved to keep her warm at night. I’m sometimes shy with strangers (but you’d never know it by my behavior here!), and sometimes a “picky eater” (yes, lots of cats are picky eaters!), but I was wonderful company for her. It would make her so happy to know that I’d found a new loving home, so why not make her (and my!) dreams come true!

Hi… my name is Eleora,

Adopted 5-17-17

“Good with everyone, eats anything, plays with anything, likes to cuddle.” Not to toot my own horn, but you can’t get much better than that can you? Given all those positives, you might wonder why I’m here. Well, my not-so-little family (which included four kids ages 5 to 15!) is moving out of the country, and my housemate, Louie, and I weren’t able to go along. I’m just a “teenager” who has morphed from the darling fuzzball kitten I was when I first arrived at TALGV to a gorgeous loves-everybody boy, so now’s your chance to take advantage of all the years I have ahead of me and let me make your life as full of love as I did my erstwhile family’s!

Hi… my name is Jasper,

Adopted 7-12-17

Are you the kind of person who’s awed by the sleek beauty of panthers you see on shows like National Geographic? Well…guess who’s here to say that you can have your very own mini version! I was roaming a neighborhood in Green Valley for several weeks before a TALGV volunteer decided life out there was too dangerous for me. Turns out that I am one of the most affectionate, outgoing, fellows you’ll ever meet and I just live for attention and petting! She said that I happily trotted after her when she was outside (a candidate for a harness and leash maybe?), seemed to be OK with dogs, and just couldn’t get enough “loving.” I’ll bet my bottom dollar if you come by and schmooze, you’ll be smitten!
