Hi… my name is Noby,

Adopted 5-16-17

I know new babies are cute as all get out (almost as cute as kittens!), and my brother, Maynard, and I really liked the new addition to our family, but we caused allergies to flare up, so it’s house hunting we’re into at the moment. I’m a solid black gentleman (with emphasis on gentle!), who loves to play with laser lights and according to my people, love to lie in your lap and get belly rubs. I got along great with the two dogs in residence and was reveling in my carefree life until things changed so precipitously. I’m optimistic though, and know that somewhere out there is another happy, active home for me and I’ll bet yours would suit me to a tee!

I know new babies are cute as all get out (almost as cute as kittens!), and my brother, Noby, and I really liked the new addition to our family, but we caused allergies to flare up, so it’s house hunting we’re into at the moment. I’m a 7-year-old tabby gentleman (with emphasis on gentle!), who loves to play with laser lights and according to my people, am very loving and sociable. I’m a pretty big guy (just more of me to love!) who got along great with the two dogs in residence and was reveling in my carefree life until things changed so precipitously. I’m optimistic though, and know that somewhere out there is another happy, active home for me and I’ll bet yours would suit me to a tee!

Hi… my name is Holly,

You know how some dogs “adopt” their people? Well, my best dog friend (probably my sister) and I found our finders. We arrived at their house and once they fed us, we didn’t leave! I’m sure you don’t blame us. We’re just 4 months old and nowhere near able to fend for ourselves. We arrived at the Animal League thin and dirty, but now that we’ve had our baths and two square meals every day, we’re gaining weight (up to 20-plus pounds!) and confidence. We still have lots to learn, but, fortunately, we’re each adorable (my sister’s word, but I agree), and if you’ve the patience to help me get over my shyness, I’d love to be your happy hound puppy! I’m the brown and white one, who’s really hoping to see you today.

Hi… my name is Mork,

Adopted August 6, 2015

My sister Mindy and I were lost puppies—barely more than babies—when some horses brought us good luck. (Probably life-saving good luck!) A man going out to feed the horses spotted us. We were very frightened, but he fed us and eventually was able to bring us here. I’m a Lab/Hound mix male—currently 29 pounds and growing—with a handsome rust-colored coat and very expressive brown eyes that might tell you what I feel even when I’m being shy. As we become acquainted with the volunteers, I’m relaxing more and more, playing puppy games with my sister and enjoying fun in the sun! If you have the patience for a puppy, I know we could have lots of fun, too. Could I get lucky again and find a forever home with you?

Hi… my name is Jude,

Adopted October 12, 2016

Before becoming a TALGV dog, I was a stray, taken care of at a truck yard. It wasn’t a home, but at least I had human contact there; although careful about human friends, I like people in general and back at the truck yard enjoyed greeting everyone who came to work. One special friend (who already has five dogs) appreciated my good dog manners, said I had “the sweetest disposition,” and brought dogs to visit me. How I loved playing with those dogs! Then I was brought here, so life has continued to get better for me. I’m a 2-year-old male with a beautiful tan, black and rust coat, about 55 pounds, who dares to dream that the best is yet to come—a home with a person to love. Could that be you?

Hi… my name is Kiara,

Adopted September 19, 2016

Dogs go all kinds of places with their people these days but sometimes humans are too busy for us, like my former person, who travels a lot and couldn’t take me along. The bright side is now I can find the right home for me and be the dog I’m meant to be—a loyal, happy, loving companion. I’m a sweet 14-month-old black and tan Lab/Shepherd mix female, a graceful 61 pounds, gentle with the kids in my last home, and very talented at chasing a ball. I’m calm but friendly, know some basic commands, and love car rides. I’d love to meet you and if we like each other—paws crossed we do—the best ride I’ll ever take will be when we go together to my forever home with you!

Hi… my name is Nipsy,

Adopted August 26, 2016

When her fortunes necessitated my mom having to move in with friends, it turned out that they had two dogs that weren’t at all cat friendly (the Staffie I lived with was — and I really loved playing with him!), so unhappily, I’m searching for a new family with good-natured critters (or not, it could just be me!). I get along great with kids (mom said, “Nipsy’s sweet, loves to be petted and cuddle, and doesn’t have an mean bone in her body.” Combine those raves with my lovely looks, and you couldn’t have a more appealing package! I like to sleep with you in bed if you’ll let me, and since mom allowed me on the furniture too (where all cats should be in my opinion!) I can be your constant companion!

Last two photos were taken in March when I was just 3 months old. My owner moved away and couldn’t take me. Why don’t you stop by The Animal League to meet me right away? I bet we would both be happy if you did.
