Hi… my name is Anikan,

Adopted March 24, 2016

I’m one lucky puppy in a litter of lucky pups, but that wasn’t always the case. My siblings and I weren’t welcome where we were born and we might have ended up trying to fend for ourselves (which conjures up scary thoughts of dangerous things). Instead, we were brought to this wonderful place, where we’re safe, cherished, served nutritious food and taught things dogs need to know. Turns out puppy life can be comfy and fun! Yes, puppies require lots of love and care to help us grow, but we also brighten your world as only puppy love and joy can. Please come share our happiness. I’m Anikan, a good-looking 3-month-old Shepherd mix male, black with tan and white markings, and I’m hoping you’ll like me so much you’ll want to take me home!

Hi… my name is Luke,

Adopted March 22, 2016

I’m one lucky puppy in a lucky litter, but it wasn’t always that way. My siblings and I were not welcome where we were born and it looked like we might end up trying to fend for ourselves (which conjures up scary thoughts of dangerous things). Instead, we were brought to this wonderful place, where we’re safe, cherished, served nutritious food and taught things dogs need to know. Turns out puppy life can be comfy and fun! My siblings and I would love to share our happiness with you; people say it’s fun just to watch us play, and I hope you’ll look for me especially. I’m Luke, a good-looking 3-month-old Shepherd mix male, all tan and completely adorable. If you give me a forever home, I’ll give you my whole lifetime of love!

Hi… my name is Peaches,

Adopted 12-31-16

Peaches has earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

Back when I was lost, I’d wait until nighttime, then crawl up on a cushioned wicker chair in a stranger’s atrium and sleep there. I thought I was without a friend, but that wasn’t so. Soon, some kind people came for me and brought me here, where I’m safe, comfy, and everyone likes me! They say my name suits me because I’m so sweet-natured, and they praise me for being calm and gentle. I can be bashful, but I’m also good with most people because I love their company. Maybe you’ll like being with me, too. How about we meet today and find out! I’m a soft-coated brown and white Staffie mix female, a little over 1 year old and about 57 pounds. There are lots of happy years ahead—let’s spend them together!

Hi… my name is Guero,

Adopted 11-14-16

Guero has earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

When my family split up, moved and couldn’t take me, I was heartbroken. In my way, I shed doggie tears about that and was actually shaking when I arrived at TALGV. But that was then. Today, I’m back to being the real me: Loveable and loyal, playful but calm, and a true champ of good behavior. In fact, I’ve been awarded the coveted AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate because I perform so well on some important behavior challenges. (Yes, this includes minding commands like sit, down, stay, heel, and lots more.) I’ve made good friends here—people and dogs—but I’m the kind of guy who really needs to belong to somebody. A nice medium size, I’d fit well in many households and in all hearts—including yours. How about we become family today!

Hi… my name is Dory,

Adopted April 15, 2016

Dory comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

They say it’s what one does that makes you beautiful, not superficial appearance, but in my case, I’ve got them both covered! After my human died, his family was unable to keep me, so at the glorious age of 12 (which qualifies me for Free Vet Care for Life), I’m looking for love all over again. My people said that I was a very gentle lady who got along fine with the dog (I wasn’t crazy about the kids that visited though!), enjoyed playing with “stuff,” used my scratching post religiously, and was just generally a sweet, no-sweat companion. Twelve really isn’t all that old in cat years (some of us live into our 20s!), so take advantage of my life experience (and free vet care!) and let me pour some sugar on your heart!

Hi… my name is Tank,

Adopted April 16, 2016

I’m betting your first thought when you take a gander at me will be, “Well, hello handsome!” And if that’s not it, then all it will take is to spend a few minutes with me and you’ll come under my spell! I lived with a whole passel of kids and dogs all my life and although occasionally a bit shy (things got pretty hectic sometimes!), I love to sleep with you and cuddle under your arms. My people said, “Although he has a couple of special needs, he is a real treasure of a cat – loving, well-mannered, and laid back or playful by turns.” I’m a big, 7-year-old, declawed Manx/Maine Coon mix gentleman who loves to play with “chirpy” toys and I promise to lasso you with love if you just give me a chance!

Hi… my name is Yale,

Adopted March 18, 2016

Back on a cold winter’s day, a wonderful person rescued our mom. Then, suddenly, there were eight more of us! Now, our mom—a real hero to her babies—is having a spay procedure, and we’re here, discovering important new puppy things every day. We’re getting good at eating and drinking on our own, playing for fun, and being a little independent; that is, standing on our own four feet, even if we still roll over and sleep on each other sometimes. I’m Yale, a good-looking tan and white male, who’s ready for the next big step—finding a home of my own where I’ll be taught more important things, cuddled regularly on a daily basis, and loved forever. If you’re ready to give puppy love and care, please reach out for me today!
