There are allergies and then there are ALLERGIES! And boy did my mom have the latter! She adopted me when I was just a kitten, and has been “hanging in there” over the years with her breathing problems, but when the doctor told her that either she relinquish me or run the risk of dying, well that pretty much did it. I have to give her credit for trying though! She said, “Lily loves to sleep in the sun, drinking from dripping faucets and looking in mirrors, is talkative when she wants a treat or brushing, comes when called, and enjoys sitting in a window watching birds.” I’m a lovely, declawed golden tabby lady, who’d like to spend her second (and final!) act with you sharing life’s joys.

I’m here at TALGV with Abigail, my canine BFF, because our person wants the best for us. Due to health issues, she no longer can give us the care and active lifestyle she wants us to enjoy, so we need a new home where love and fun abound. I’m a 4-year-old tan and white female, about 70 pounds, and—per my DNA test—mainly Weimaraner and Manchester Terrier. I’m leash trained, have good house manners, and know “sit,” “down,” and “come.” That’s important stuff, but you should also know that I’m affectionate, sweet and playful, love stuffed squeaky toys, and I also love Abigail. We want to stay together. So if you can love us both, we’ll double our efforts to make sure you’re happy being loved every day by your grateful doggie duo!

APRIL is a cute, social, and sweet 6-year-old, 14-pound purebred Pekingese (no papers) who needs a new home. Her dad died and dogs in new family are not welcoming her. She is okay with other dogs, but cats and children are unknown. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. Medical records are available. She is housebroken and asks to go out. April is very affectionate, loves to walk, and usually sleeps with owner. She needs to be in a home with someone who has time to dote on her. There is no adoption fee. MARKIE is a 3-year old male, Chihuahua/corgi mix. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He will do best with a little lady dog or even better, as the only dog – Top Dog as he likes to think of it. Markie is a love bug and enjoys being spoken to, sitting on a lap or up against you. He chases a cat that runs from him but ignores another one. Markie walks well on a leash and is well behaved when you pick him up to run in a store or stop at a stand, etc. He isn’t into other dogs; he pretty much ignores them. He loves his person and those times when you can’t take him with you, he will be watching out from the window for your return. There is no adoption fee.

SIMBA is a handsome 8-month-old, 40-pound, Catahoula Leopard dog mix with a sweet personality. He was found in the desert by owner who has several pets already. He is up to date on shots and will be neutered courtesy of TALGV. Currently he is an inside/outside dog who is playful and loving. Simba is good with kids and other dogs; cats are unknown. This friendly dog knows “sit” and does not jump… he wants only to please his new family. There is no adoption fee.
