When I first arrived, I was mighty unhappy living in a cage for a few days until all my “vitals” were checked out, but I’m doing lots better now that I’m “free” and making the rounds and friends in a community room. I’ve been adjudged healthy as can be, and like all my compatriots, I’m looking for a place of my own. I was found roaming in Madera Highlands and in need of a good grooming (my long coat was awfully matted and dirty), but now that I’ve been “handsomed up” I’m showing off my stuff to everyone who visits. I’m about 6 years old and have an unusual brown/grey tabby coloring, so come meet me and you’ll see that you’re totally incapable of resisting my charms!

OK, I know that there are dogs who are perfectly content being “outdoor only” critters, but even after living with my family for 5½ years (all my life), I still wanted to be inside with them! My people (a senior couple) said that I’d recently started getting into mischief out there, so since they had four other outside dogs and couldn’t bring just me in, they felt I needed a place and home to call my own. They said I’m a gentle lady who is very submissive, so I’ll bet with just a bit of explanation on the finer points of indoor living, I’ll be a great companion. I’m a Boxer (my dad) and Australian Cattle Dog (my mom) mix, and I’d love the opportunity to show you just how endearing I can be!

She rescued me as a kitten 12 years ago after young kids, dogs, and other cats had traumatized me, and during the first part of my life I was a real “scaredy-cat” who hid everywhere. Well the years went by and after my dad died, it was just mom and me, and I’ve become a real lover who adores being carried, sitting in your lap, and purring love songs to you while you’re on the computer. I’m a typically chatty Siamese gentleman, and recognize lots of phrases (like “treat, treat” and “kiss, kiss”!), so won’t you let me share all I know with you?
