Hi… my name is Choko.

Adopted August 20, 2015

Choko comes with Free Vet Care for Life

If you want to see the fascinating chronicle of my life, be sure to read the two whole pages my mom left when she relinquished me! She rescued me as a kitten 12 years ago after young kids, dogs, and other cats had traumatized me, and during the first part of my life I was a real “scaredy-cat” who hid everywhere. Well the years went by and after my dad died, it was just mom and me, and I’ve become a real lover who adores being carried, sitting in your lap, and purring love songs to you while you’re on the computer. I’m a typically chatty Siamese gentleman, and recognize lots of phrases (like “treat, treat” and “kiss, kiss”!), so won’t you let me share all I know with you?

Hi… my name is Harley.

Adopted August 31, 2015

Since I am ten years old, I come with FREE Vet Care for Life.

After ten years of living with three dogs and another cat that were beating me up (“it makes him reclusive and stressed and is just too unhealthy a living environment” my family said), they finally decided that I needed to find a place where I could be the only pet. Thank goodness! At heart I really am a sweet, gentle feline who relishes petting so I’d love to have the chance to show you the “real me” without the influence of other alpha animals picking on me! I’m a handsome, laid back 10-year-old tabby and white gentleman, who because of my age, comes with Free Vet Care for Life. Don’t you think that I deserve to be your one and only love after all I’ve been through? I sure do!

Hi… my name is Smidgen.

Adopted June 27, 2015

It might take you a bit to figure out why my siblings, Fraggie, Scrapper, Remy, and I are called the “Pisces Pieces” litter, but put your thinking cap on and it won’t take long (our mom was named Pisces)! Our human mom gave TALGV lots of information about us, and here’s the story on me: “Smidgen is an all-around sweetheart. She looks to her siblings to see what to do — quiet or zooming all around the room depending on what they’re doing. She was born an hour after the third kitten, so we were really surprised to meet her. She’s so cute that I always want to hug her!” That’s probably all you really need to know about me except that I’m a little shorthaired black and white girl and I’m available!

Our human mom gave TALGV lots of information about us, and here’s the story on me: “Fraggie is a party boy – always active and ready to play with you and his siblings. He’s affectionate and the most purry of the litter and likes to be held on his back. But beware — he’s lightning quick and can be out the door in a moment if you’re not careful!” That’s probably all you really need to know about me except that I’m a little shorthaired classic “mackerel” tabby boy, and I’m available!

Zee

Hi… my name is Zee.

Adopted June 30, 2015

You’ve heard about how cats have nine lives — we’ll this little boy has several too, and I have already used up one of them! Two years ago, I (very unwisely!) chewed on a wire in the house and if my dad hadn’t been home to resuscitate me, I’d have been a goner! Well, I’m happy to report that I’m fine now except for some residual scarring around my mouth, but that doesn’t stop me from playing with my toys and engaging in the odd game of tug-of-war now and then! When my dad moved in with his girlfriend and her small dog and two cats, they discovered that I’m definitely not a “cat person,” so a home where it’s just you and me would suit me to a “T.”

Hi… my name is Heather.

Adopted June 26, 2015

Being a stray, no one knows what I might have been called before I arrived at TALGV, but if I do say so myself, I think they picked a perfect name for me! I’m a lovely heathery-colored blue heeler/Aussie mix girl and just as sweet as heather honey! The summer interns who’ve been playing with me say I already know how to fetch and retrieve, and will likely make a great agility dog (heeler/Aussie — what a brainy combo!). I’m cool as a cucumber around other dogs (not an easy feat in this weather!) even when they’re doing their “bark at everyone” thing, so I’m sure I’ll be a “hail fellow well met” kind of girl. I’m about 3 months old and just itching to show you what I can do!

Hi… my name is Birdie.

Adopted August 29, 2015

Although I’m fairly anxious because of the latest twist in my life, I’m basically a sweetheart who has just had a rough time of it. My rescuer said, “One day I was cleaning around my shed when I heard baby kittens and their mother and I’ve been feeding them out there ever since. I don’t know where they came from, but I hope they all get good homes.” (I’ve got to second that last statement!) Now that I’m no longer in “kitten-bearing condition,” I’m ready to settle down and find out what living indoors is all about (it sure has been nice here except for all the feline competition!). A soft pillow or lap, a bowl of food, and a loving safe haven is all I ask. That’s not too much, is it?
