Hi… my name is Snickers.

Adopted February 6, 2015

Well, it’s unanimous — everyone agrees that I’ve been eating too many candy bars! Or maybe not getting enough exercise, but in any case I guess I could stand to lose a few pounds! When asked what my “good qualities” were, my people said, “Loves to play and cuddle, snuggle on the couch, and watch college football.” Maybe that explains it — I’m the quintessential couch potato! Since my family moved to “no pets” apartment, I need to find another place where I can do much of the same thing, hopefully with a little more walking thrown in! I’m a delightful, gentle young MinPin girl, who gets along with everyone. I’m beautifully leash and house trained and have a super personality, so I consider myself the “complete package.” I hope you will, too!

Hi… my name is Kush.

When you can’t say “no” to rescue animals, sometimes you end up with one too many, and that’s what happened with my mom. She had three other dogs, and since she worked long hours we all spent a lot of time in the yard making our own entertainment (which sometimes involved a good bit of hail-fellow-well-met hullabaloo!). Mom said that I loved attention, being cuddled, am “quite the athlete,” and although at times a bit nervous with strangers, warm up quickly if you approach on my own terms. I know a few commands (“stay” and “be good”) and will be learning lots more here you can bet! I’m a small yellow Lab mix boy, about two years old, and I know that both our lives would be better lived together!

Hi… my name is Jingles.

Adopted July 31, 2105

If there’s one thing I learned during my life on the streets, it’s that there are things that are way better than the great outdoors! Like three squares and a cozy lap for instance! When the nice lady who had been feeding me for a few weeks decided to keep me, I thought I’d really gotten lucky, but unfortunately I didn’t want to share her affection with the resident dog, so she decided I needed a person and home where I could be top cat. As a typically outgoing young buff tabby boy, I’m going to have many years ahead of me to make up for all that lovin’ I missed out on while I was “pawloose” and fancy free!

Hi… my name is Kiddo.

I think people sometimes forget how active young puppies can be! My mom adopted me when I was a cuddly 8-week-old and has been taking really great care of me since. I got along great with her Chihuahua (although I was considerably bigger and a lot more exuberant than he was), but mom said that I had no problem behavior, just “too much energy” for someone her age. I’ve learned quite a few commands (sit, down, stay, and walk) and am a loving, smart girl. I’m learning to catch a Frisbee (I’ll fetch anything actually!), and am a “wonderful, willing dog who will learn everything for a treat.” I’m a young German shepherd/Staffie mix girl looking for an active family that will give me all the exercise and love it can dish out!

Hi… my name is Cindy.

Adopted November 27, 2015

As all “cat people” know, felines can be changeable creatures! I lived with my single mom and three other cats peaceably for six years, until a few months ago when the cats started intimidating me and my heretofore-perfect house manners took a hit. Mom said I’m the sweetest lady in the world, who adores humans and will happily greet visitors, love to spend lots of lap sitting time, will come when called, and am generally a gentle and loving companion. I’ve never been around kids or dogs, so I’m hopeful there’s another quiet (cat-free!) home out there waiting to share my feline kind of love. I’m a classic brown tabby who promises to be the light of your life when it’s just the two of us!

Hi… my name is Sheba.

Adopted February 8, 2015

I think it should be written somewhere in the human code of conduct that they are never allowed to move to a new home unless pets are permitted! Well, it would be too late for me now anyway, but it’s just a thought! My not-so-little family consisted of six kids, another cat, and a dog (I sure hope they found a BIG place to live!), and we all got along splendidly. Mom said was very gentle and loved to sleep and play with the kids, loved feather toys, and was just generally an all-around wonderful quiet and laid back lady (I had to be with so much going on!). I’m an adaptable shorthaired black and white gal whose background will undoubtedly allow lots of options for a new home!
