Hi… my name is Shadow.
Adopted April 8, 2015.
I lived with my dad all my life, but when a new resident arrived it turned out that she was HIGHLY allergic to me, so I had to move on in life. Ironically, I have allergies of my own, so I only eat Science Diet Z/D wet and dry food, but I really like it, so that’s no problem. I’m said to be quiet and friendly and “will love you for everything you do for her – your kindness will be returned with affection and good manners.” I’m a beautiful declawed (for those of you who care about that), lady and as a “senior” I come with Free Vet Care for Life, so I can’t see any reason not to take home! Come visit and you’ll be convinced.
Shadow comes with FREE Vet Care for Life.

When my mom died a while ago, there was no one in the family who would take my brother and me in (he already found a home, lucky guy!), so I’m hopeful that there are lots of people out there who will be vying to take me home, too! Given my breed mix (Poodle and Maltese — a “Maltipoo”!) you know that I’m a sweet, gentle, lovable guy who adores (make that CRAVES) human attention. I also got along great with all the kids (ranging in age from two to ten) who visited, so just color me an all around great “find” for someone. I not very old, and have lots of living to do, so let’s do it together, shall we?

Hi… my name is Cane.
Adopted July 26, 2015
Cane has earned/received his American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification.
My well-meaning family rescued me when I was three months old, but since they’d never had a dog before, raising a puppy was a lot more than they could handle and after six months finally decided I needed a more structured home where I could get consistent training and lots of attention. Well, I’m SO happy to report that now that I’ve been at TALGV for nine months that has happened in spades! I have been trained to sit, down, wait, will roll over for a treat, and have earned my Canine Good Citizen award — WAY more than just your run-of-the-mill obedience certificate! I’m a polite 18-month-old Pointer/Staffie mix boy who totally ADORES kids, and I just know that I’m going to be the loyal and loving companion you’ve always fancied.

My brother, Chico, and I lived with our dad and his fiancée all our lives, but when they parted two years ago, he left us with her hoping he would be able to come for us when he got settled. That didn’t happen though, and since our mom worked long hours and was moving, she couldn’t keep us any longer. So for all you “Chihuahua people” out there, we’re both available to add a little spice to things for you. We hadn’t been getting a lot of attention lately, so we’re really hoping for a “homebody” with whom we can share our affection. We don’t “do” kids well, so an older, settled adult would be perfect. We’re 9 years old and have tons more living to do, so why not join us for the ride?

That didn’t happen though, so for all you “Chihuahua people” out there, I’m a wonderfully sweet gentleman who’s available to add a little spice your life. Although the volunteers here are giving me as much attention as they can (it’s pretty crowded here, and I’m not getting as much as I’d like!), so I’m so yearning for a “homebody” with that I can lavish my affection on. I don’t “do” kids well, so an older, settled adult would be perfect. I’m 9 years old and have tons more living to do, so why not join me for the ride?

MAX is a sweet and handsome 6-year-old Lynx Point Siamese who needs a new home as family member is allergic to cats. He weighs 14 pounds, has a sable coat and beautiful blue eyes. Max is neutered, is current with shots and is declawed so, of course, must be indoor only. He always uses his litter box, won’t scratch or get on furniture, and he loves a lap and to have his ears scratched. Max ignores the family dog but has never been with another cat. He would enjoy sleeping next to you if allowed. Please call Wanda between 8 AM and 8 PM at 399-3332.

BEAUX is a cuddly, smart, and energetic 4-month-old male Malti-Poo who needs a new loving home because older dog does not accept him. Beaux is very social and loving to all people. He has been neutered, has a microchip, and is ready for his next puppy shot. Beaux weighs 7 pounds and sleeps under the bed at night. He was potty trained on pads, goes outside and is generally housebroken, but he needs some additional training in this area. He likes to walk on leash and will sit when asked. Beaux would get along with other dogs that don’t mind his high energy, but cats and kids are unknown. There is no adoption fee for Beaux.
To arrange a meeting, please call Nan between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-307-6229.

My family rescued me from a shelter over five years ago, but now they’re moving into an apartment and can’t take me with them. They had nothing but wonderful things to say about me, like I’m an easy rider with a calm temperament, like toys, to sit in the sun, and am a very well-mannered girl who is good in the house, a great watch dog, and LOVE belly rubs. What more could you want in a gal? I’m a beautiful shepherd/Shar Pei mix (note the ears!), who got along fine with “my” 8-year-old grandchild and other animals. I know a few basic commands (but am eager to learn more if you have the inclination!), know what “no” means, and well, I’m practically perfect if I do say so myself! Come find out for yourself!

Adopted May 8, 2015
When my active duty military mom moved to a new posting, pets weren’t allowed so my soul mate, Bob, and I lost our home. Bob was adopted right away, and without him, I became so miserable and intimidated by all the cats here, that a wonderful volunteer took me home to foster. She says I follow her around like a puppy, am fine with strangers, have a “great character,” am very inquisitive and graceful (I do like to jump!), love windows (oh, those birds!), and love to sit beside (not on!) you and snuggle/purr for all I’m worth. I’m a handsome buff tabby boy, and since I’ve lived with another cat, maybe I’d be okay with a similarly laid back feline. Or maybe I’d be just as happy as an only (preferably spoiled) child!

When my mom, who was active duty military, had to move to Maryland for her new posting, pets weren’t allowed at the family’s new housing, so my housemate, Henry, and I lost our home. I lived with them all my life so it might take a while for me to adjust to my new circumstances, but since they say that I love attention and to be held and cuddled, I have high hopes that it won’t be long before someone recognizes my virtues! I’m a delightful, young bobtail grey tabby boy (thus my name I guess!), who is playful, kittenlike, and very gentle and tolerant of kids (I had two in my “former life”!) so I know that I’m going to adapt to my new life in a jiffy. Where better than with you?
