Hi… my name is Sissy.
Adopted December 3, 2014.
When my dad adopted my best friend, Phantom, and me three years ago, he thought he’d be able to care for us forever. Life often interferes with our plans however, and now that he needs care himself, he wasn’t able to make that happen. It was just the three of us living happily quiet lives all those years, so I’m pretty sure that a peaceful home with not a whole lot of “action” going on would help me transition to my new circumstances with ease. I’m a classic tortoiseshell lady, and as is often characteristic of my breed, I’m a laidback, calm gal who likes life to be tranquil and relaxed. I know there are lots of places like that in Green Valley, so won’t you let me share one with you?

Although I was rather reserved when I first arrived with my feline housemate after my dad went into assisted living, after being here a year, the volunteers say that I’ve turned into a WONDERFUL (their emphasis!), friendly guy who is the first one in your lap when you walk into my room and sit down and would happily stay there all day if you’d let me! (I really am doing my best to get your attention and to convince you to take me home!) I’m an easygoing, glossy black gentleman who pines for a simple, tranquil life. I’ll bet there are lots of places in Green Valley that are “cat deprived,” so won’t you let me share your home and lap? Life would be so much sweeter for us both!

I’ll bet you’ve never heard many cats referred to as good “buggers”! Well apparently I’m quite adept at catching those critters so you can think of me as your own personal bug removal service! I also had access to the garage in my former home, and I apparently did a bang up job on mice, too! My mom said that I’m very playful, like attention and affection, am good with other animals, and “respect furniture and countertops.” After my companion feline died a while ago, I became a bit lax in my house manners, but I’m sure once I’m in a new environment, I’ll be able to start a new page in life. I’m a gorgeous, flame-point Siamese/Persian mix gentleman and I’m here just waiting for that to happen.

Boy, I don’t know what a fella has to do to get noticed around here! I arrived October 1st and have been trying to present my most adorable self to the public ever since! I guess there are just so many of us here that I sometimes get “lost in the shuffle!” My rescuers said, “A large truck dropped this puppy off on the road and we stopped and called him and he responded immediately by coming to us. He has a sweet temperament and is very smart.” I’m an 11-pound, young copper-colored, longhaired Chihuahua mix boy who has a “foxy” look that (I think!) is totally endearing. I love people (especially their laps!), and am a joyous, happy guy who would love to share those traits with you!

The wonderful couple that found me (and my companion, Boxie), in a wash already had rescued ten dogs and three cats from that area, so keeping us forever was more than they could handle. Fortunately, TALGV’s Outreach Program came to their (and our!) rescue and when there was space, we got to come here. When I was found, I was terribly thin, had a bad sore on my back, and someone had cut off my tail, but despite it all, I am a sweet, gentle, and tolerant guy. I’m a good-natured black Lab mix boy, about 11 months old (I look younger because I’ve not exactly had the best start in life!), who will be eternally grateful for a safe, loving home to wipe out the memory of the past.

Fortunately, TALGV’s Outreach Program came to their (and our!) rescue and when there was space, we got to come here. My rescuers said that I was very friendly, walked perfectly on a leash, and got along great with all the other household members (human and “other”!), so I guess I must have belonged to someone at one time. I’m a beautiful tan and white Boxer girl, and I know that I’m going to be eternally grateful for a safe, loving home to wipe out the memory of the recent past.

Hi… my name is Buster Boy.
Adopted November 15, 2014.
When families move, things change for us pets, but that usually means only a brief adjustment to a new home. In the case of my housemate, Bella Girl, and me it meant we lost our family AND home, as they couldn’t take us with them. I’d lived with the young couple and their kids (ages 1, 3, and 8) all my life, so it was doubly hard to lose them. But I’m an outgoing and happy boy, and have high hopes that there will be another active home where I can be my typical sweet self. I’m a young Staffie mix and mom said that I’m super gentle and tolerant of kids, know a few basic commands and since I adore people, I’d sure be ecstatic if you’d let me “feel the love” with you!

Thanks for looking at my pictures. My biography is under construction. Please stop back again to read about me or… even better… stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Kennels are open 10-2 every day.

Check out my paws! If you didn’t know better you’d swear I’d been sloshing through a bowl of whipped cream! Well, in my dreams anyway! My little family moved to a new apartment and couldn’t afford the pet deposit for me and my kittens, so here I am — ready to move in with someone already established and in need of feline companionship. I’m just a youngster myself at, and I’m said to be gentle with kids, get along with (nice!) dogs, “sleep anywhere” and “eat a lot” (maybe because I was feeding my kids!). In any case, the “bottom line” is that you’ll wonder what on earth you did before Kitty Kat (or whatever you’d like to call me) entered your life!
