Hi… my name is Crayola.

Adopted November 23, 2014.

Like Moses in the bulrushes, I was left (with my three newly-born kittens) in a box on a doorstep in hopes that I’d be taken in. Thankfully that happened, and I got to spend eight weeks with a wonderful TALGV volunteer while I raised my babies, so she got to know me really well. She says that although I’m not a long lap sitter, I LOVE to be brushed, and while I don’t have a traditional purr or meow, you’ll know how contented I am by my squinty eyes and the “hissy” noise I make (don’t be fooled — they’re “happy hisses” and “satisfied squints”!). I’m a young Torbie girl with striking markings and multicolored green eyes and I’m dreaming of “hissing and squinting” just for YOU!

Arrived August 24, 2014.

Hi… my name is Callie.

Adopted October 12, 2014.

It would have been nice if my mom could have chosen an assisted living place that allowed pets, but I guess they’re few and far between, so here I am, looking for the lap I’ll spend the rest of my life on! I’m healthy as can be (but still come with Free Vet Care for Life!), and a real petite beauty — a Torbie, which is a combination of tortoiseshell and tabby. I’m also as sweet as can be, love to sleep in high places, and am just generally a laid-back sweetie. I’m hoping that’s just what you’re looking for!

Arrived August 24, 2014. Callie comes with Free Vet Care for Life.

Hi… my name is Buster Brown.

Adopted January 29, 2015.

The volunteers adore me, but acknowledge that I’m a timid boy, who needs time and patience to come around, but once I do, I’ll love you forever!  I’m one handsome and smart boy who’s currently working on my AKC Canine Good Citizen award.  I know lots of commands, walk nicely on leash, and love other polite dogs. The trainer at Central Pet uses me in her daycare and socialization program and says I need a “strong presence” in my life (but not “hardhandedness”!), so she’d love to see me with an understanding man or woman — or couple — another dog, and a yard with a nice tall fence. I come with free training for life — not really because I need it, but because my trainer simply adores me — and so will you!

Arrived August 17, 2014.

Hi… my name is Toots.

Adopted December 11, 2014.

A Border Patrol agent found my mom in the desert and she stayed with his family for six months, until she had me. Although they really wanted to, they couldn’t keep us any longer because they were expecting a baby of their own and just couldn’t afford us in addition to their two dogs. While I was a little under the weather when I first arrived, I’m fine now and am a typical kitten who is playful and outgoing, and since I got along famously with their resident dogs, I’m sure any active, happy-go-lucky home will suit me to a “T.” I’m a beautiful kitten and sweetness itself, so if you’re looking for a classic tabby girl who will be the light of your life, I’m the one for you!

Hi… my name is Blue.

Adopted October 15, 2014.

When I was just a wee one, my senior mom fell in love with me and gave me a wonderful home for almost a year. Turns out that I’m a bit too much into “chasing anything that moves” for her, so I’m hoping for a home where I can get more stimulation and am able to get my “yayas” out! Maybe another active cat or kitten to chase? I’m a handsome (that word is a bit overworked sometimes, but it fits me to a T!) Russian Blue teenager,  and in addition to chasing my tail, I love to be brushed. So won’t you give me another chance?

Hi… my name is Wheatie.

Adopted December 17, 2014.

When I first arrived as a teensy baby I was part of “the cereal litter” and went to live with a foster mom for a while until I was old enough to “mingle” here. All my siblings have found homes except my brother, Crispix, and me so I’m getting a little antsy! Despite how much fun it is to have tons of playmates, like every feline, I really want a home and family of my own where I can participate in all the kitten activities that aren’t available to me here (like helping with chores, reading the paper, doing Internet searches — stuff like that!). I’m a darling, buff-colored tabby boy who’s past that “go-go goofy” stage but still eager to spend lots of time entertaining you!

Arrived August 12, 2014.

Hi… my name is Sassy.

Adopted March 13, 2015

Although my rescuers only had me for two days, they said I was good with their dogs and 2-year-old, so I’m betting I’m young enough that I’ll fit in anywhere (and live up to my name)! I’m a glossy, solid black teenager with just a smidge of white on my chest, and I’m positive that if you give me a home, you’ll wonder how you ever managed life without me! Come on now give me a chance to prove that black cats bring joy, love, and good fortune to anyone blessed by our presence! Maybe you can start a trend in your neighborhood by  adopting a black cat — there are enough here for everyone!

Arrived August 15, 2014.
