Nothing makes me happier than a job that involves plenty of active exercise. I’m a one-year-old male Husky, and I’m from a long line of “working” dogs. From what I hear through the grapevine, I’m a handsome, sweet boy with eyes you just “have” to see. I’m also curious, playful, exuberant, and really just a puppy at heart. I walk well on a leash and with a little training, I’ll be even better. I’m curious when meeting people and other dogs. Let’s face it; I’ve never met a stranger I didn’t like. I really want to please and by getting some basic training, I can accomplish my goal. I’ll need a secure yard to keep me safe and curb my wanderlust. Could you be my future family? My mom Floppy and I lived with our human dad until recently, but he is getting up there in years and could no longer care for us. I am a small shepherd mix who is affectionate and loves to play and cuddle with my special person. My dad said that liked to wander and could jump a four-foot high fence so I can follow my nose and explore. (I’ve always come back though!) I walk well on a leash and know how to heel and stay. Being part shepherd, I’m smart and learn quickly. I also like to keep busy. Maybe you can come and teach me more? I come with vet care support for life.

I think of myself as tall, dark and handsome. I’m quite the dude! I was found wondering at an apartment complex and luckily was brought here to the shelter. Not much is known about how I feel about other cats, dogs or kids. But I fit in so well here that I’d probably fit well anywhere. I’m an easy guy. Am looking for a human who can be patient with me as I grow into my teens (I’m 2 years old) and settle into my new environment. I’m friendly, confident and adventurous. My half-sister, Macy, and I only lived with our human mom for four months before she died, but we added a lot of joy to her life in that short time. I sometimes eat plants, so that’s something you need to keep an eye on as they can be deadly, but other than that, I’m perfect in every way (if I do say so myself!). I’m a super sweet girl who loves cuddles, some head rubbing and petting, (but nothing over stimulating) and often a little play too. I’ve lived happily indoors since my kittenhood 7 years ago until dad’s girlfriend, who suffers from allergies, moved in. (Sigh.) I had to move on. Once settled in, I’m super friendly and often looking for a lap (I’ll let you know by jumping into it!). I’ve never lived around kids or other pets, so I’m not sure how I’d do with them, but I promise to be a wonderful, affectionate companion to the lucky person who shares their life with me. I was found wandering around Madera Highlands and was fortunate enough to spend some time in my rescuer’s home. While there I met the other members of the family, a Bull Terrier, two Chihuahuas, and the 5-year-old child who gave me my name. We all got along very well. I myself am a young female Bull Terrier mix. I’m mostly white with black trim. Under my soft white coat there are opaque spots that I prefer to call freckles. I was described by my finder as being a gentle, affectionate girl who rides well in a car. Then I came to TALGV where I was an immediate hit with the volunteers. Now, all I have to do is to find a wonderful family that will invite me into their loving home. I’m ready!
