TRIP is a smart, sweet, and energetic 50 pound purebred Australian Shepherd
who needs a new home because people who have owned him for almost 8 years
since a puppy have to be away long hours and don’t have much time for him
during the week. They would like to give Trip the opportunity to be in a home
where he can have more attention. He is obedience trained – knows sit, stay,
drop it, leave it, roll over, Trip’s bed, and come here now. He is leash trained
and looks forward to his two daily walks of almost an hour each and needs
exercise and play time to keep him content. He loves to retrieve his soft frisbee
and ball. Owners believe he would be best as an only dog and would
recommend kids over the age of 10. Trip does not like a crate and does not
get on furniture; he sleeps on floor in owner’s bedroom. He has beautiful
blue eyes and his handsome blue merle coat is soft, thick and shiny. He
is neutered and is up to date with his shots (medical records are available).
There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Trip into a loving home as part
of your family, please call Penny between 5 and 8 AM or 4:30 to 8:30 PM at
978-621-2677.

Ya know, you’d think that when people adopt kittens, they’d expect, well, kitten behavior! But not so the two people that adopted me! I was only in their homes for a few weeks, and was returned both times because they “had forgotten how energetic kittens are!” Okay — we’re into everything, are super curious, playful, and active — that’s supposed to be a huge part of our charm! Soon enough (too soon, some say!), we grow out of that and become dignified, laid back housemates. So if you’re looking for a year of fun, and then lots of years of just “hanging out,” then I’d be your guy. I’m already a “teenager” and am desperate for a person or family to love. C’mon now, admit it, I’m really what you want, aren’t I?

“She’s extremely friendly and ridiculously cute! She is very well behaved, seeks to be petted, and responds well to instruction.” That’s what my mom’s son said about me when he very sadly had to bring me to TALGV. Mom passed away a while ago, and the family couldn’t keep me, but since I’m such a sweetie, they just knew that it wouldn’t be hard for me to convince another family that I should be an integral part of their lives! I’m a happy, gentle, 7-year-old, Australian shepherd mix lady who has lived with another dog, know basic commands, and will undoubtedly be the light of your life. If you’ve ever owned (or been owned by!) an Aussie, you’ll know what you’re in for — total head-over-heels adoration!
Arrived February 9, 2015.

Hokmah comes with TALGV’s Free Vet Care for Life
Named after a Hebrew word in the Kabbalah for “wisdom and experience,” my dad said, “Hokmah enjoys wrestling with me and playing with a laser light, fuzzy balls, and mice toys (he goes insane over catnip!). He is very loving and nearly doglike and is enamored of water from all sources (the faucet and my leg after a shower for example!), and usually sleeps on my tummy, by my legs, or in a chair near me.” I’m a handsome Russian Blue chap, and as a senior (in age, not in demeanor!), I come with TALGV’S Free Vet Care for Life. I loved my dad dearly, so would be so happy if I could continue that tradition in another peaceful, caring home.
