Hi… my name is Ginger.

Adopted October 6, 2014.

You’ve got to give my rescuers credit — they found me lying in a ditch six months ago when I was all banged up, VERY thin, and afraid of everything. During the ensuing months, I’ve been patched (and fattened) up, gotten to know and enjoy their cat, dog, and kids, and now I love everyone! Just goes to show you what a little patience, love, and TLC will do! I know quite a few commands, love to play ball, fetch, and spend lots of time outside and to follow everyone around when they’re doing their chores. I’m a sweet, medium-sized, red heeler mix lady, and since my people just couldn’t keep me forever, I’m now hoping I can find another active family that will make my life complete.

Hi… my name is Georgie.

I was adopted August 12, 2014.

Eight dogs, two cats, one rabbit (and several humans of course!). That’s the number of critters I lived with after I was found on the Fourth of July! The people who discovered me near Mann and Sahuarita Roads thought that maybe I’d been frightened by the Fourth festivities, so they looked for my owners for three weeks before bringing me to TALGV (I guess they can’t be faulted for not keeping me given the menagerie they already had!). I’m a captivating sable, fawn, and white Chihuahua mix boy  with the most winsome “won’t you take me home?” expression you’ve ever seen. Why not help me change that to “goody, now I’ve got a place of my own”? I’ll bet we’ll both be happier for it!

Hi… my name is Weezy.

Adopted January 17, 2015.

My family made a commitment to move to Colorado, and since they didn’t yet have a place to live, my “lady friend,” Lacey, and I couldn’t go along. I’ve got to be up front here and tell you that I haven’t had a lot of leadership in my young life, but boy am I willing and eager to learn! I lived with a family with lots of kids, but spent most of my time playing with them out in the yard, so I need some education in the indoor deportment department! I’m a happy-go-lucky, young American Bulldog/Staffie mix boy and for an experienced person who can provide consistent leadership, I’ll be the find of a lifetime!

Hi… my name is Lacey.

Adopted October 8, 2014.

My family made a commitment to move to Colorado, and since they didn’t yet have a place to live, my “boyfriend,” Weezy, and I couldn’t go along. Mom said I’m a super happy lady who loves to go for walks, know a few basic commands (sit, shake, and slow), and am very tolerant of kids of all ages. She said I’m not fond of strange dogs (although I got along with Weezy just fine), and am very protective of my person and home. I’m a golden Chow/Retriever mix, and if you’d like a settled companion (who also comes with TALGV’s Free Vet Care for Life!), I’d be a perfect fit.

LACEY COMES WITH TALGV’S FREE VET CARE FOR LIFE.

Hi… my name is Sancho.

Adopted December 29, 2014.

My brother, Pancho, and I got “downsized” when our mom and dad “upsized” to a bigger rental home that didn’t allow pets. I guess I shouldn’t “go there” and tell you how we feel about that (you can guess, surely!), but the bottom line is now YOU have a chance to add a delightful  Chihuahua boy (or two) to your life! I get along fine with my brother, but I’m not overly fond of other dogs, so it would be great if I could continue being the human-loving guy I’ve always been. I’m housetrained, like to go for walks, am not a picky eater (most dogs aren’t actually!), and I’d love to show you what joy having a little tyke sitting in your lap really is!
