Hi… my name is Justice.
I was adopted September 5, 2014.
When my heartbroken family relinquished me they said, “Justice is a great dog, she’s house- and crate-trained, sits, shakes, and loves to be the center of attention. She’s a spoiled, indoor, family dog!” My “difficulty” was that I never quite adjusted to the toddler in the house (she did a lot of unwelcome tugging and chasing!), so they decided I’d do better in a home where the kids were a lot older. I’m a lovely medium size black Lab/shepherd mix lady who simply adores people and also gets along with other dogs (as long as they’re not bigger than me!). I’m still at an age where I love to play (and I never dig in the yard!), so why not complete both our lives and take me home?

Lucky for me, I had just stopped to rest in a pull-off area right off the freeway near Sahuarita Road, when a Sheriff’s deputy spied me. He opened his door, picked me up, said I was very friendly (“usually they run away”), and rescued me from what would probably have been a bad end! So I’m here now proving him right by demonstrating how delightfully friendly I really am! I’m a charming young solid black boy (named after my rescuer) and a shining example of how outgoing and people loving kittens are. I’m betting that two minutes with me will “win your heart and squash that sucker flat” (that’s from an old country western song!). C’mon I dare you to pass me up!

MIA is a gentle and loving 2 ½-year-old female boxer mix who was found in early August on the roadway in Sahuarita. Finder took her in and was pleased to discover that Mia is fully housebroken and good in the house, is okay with the cat, likes to ride in the car, and is very social and loving to all people. She is up to date on shots and will be spayed soon with help from TALGV. Mia is a 43-pound “velcro” dog who wants only to please and be with her people. It might be preferable if she is the only dog. There is no adoption fee for Mia. To arrange a meeting, please call Susan between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-648-3746.

Oscar was adopted through TALGV’s Offsite program on September 1, 2014.
OSCAR is a sweet 4 ½-year-old Champagne-colored Maltese mix boy who was rescued two years ago by current owner. He is housebroken and uses the doggy door, but he really enjoys his morning and evening walks. He is neutered, is up to date on his shots, has a microchip, and medical records are available. Oscar likes other dogs and is very social with everyone; he doesn’t bark, chew or dig. Cats are unknown. He is not obedience trained but really has no bad behavior and sleeps under owners’ bed at night. At 22 pounds, he is about 4 pounds overweight but that is due to food being down all the time for owners’ older dog. Oscar loves being with his people and prefers to be on their laps but there is concern that owner’s frail skin will be damaged by Oscar’s nails so they feel he would be better in another home. There is no adoption fee for Oscar. To arrange a meeting, please call Jim between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-955-7720.

Adopted November 23, 2014.
Like Moses in the bulrushes, I was left (with my three newly-born kittens) in a box on a doorstep in hopes that I’d be taken in. Thankfully that happened, and I got to spend eight weeks with a wonderful TALGV volunteer while I raised my babies, so she got to know me really well. She says that although I’m not a long lap sitter, I LOVE to be brushed, and while I don’t have a traditional purr or meow, you’ll know how contented I am by my squinty eyes and the “hissy” noise I make (don’t be fooled — they’re “happy hisses” and “satisfied squints”!). I’m a young Torbie girl with striking markings and multicolored green eyes and I’m dreaming of “hissing and squinting” just for YOU!

Adopted October 12, 2014.
It would have been nice if my mom could have chosen an assisted living place that allowed pets, but I guess they’re few and far between, so here I am, looking for the lap I’ll spend the rest of my life on! I’m healthy as can be (but still come with Free Vet Care for Life!), and a real petite beauty — a Torbie, which is a combination of tortoiseshell and tabby. I’m also as sweet as can be, love to sleep in high places, and am just generally a laid-back sweetie. I’m hoping that’s just what you’re looking for!
Arrived August 24, 2014. Callie comes with Free Vet Care for Life.
