Hi… my name is Pee Wee.
Adopted May 5, 2014.
The people who adopted me recently had a TON of good things to say about me (you can read all about it at TALGV), but since I didn’t get along with their resident dog, they regretfully had to bring me back. But the bottom line is I’m a happy, active cream-colored Chihuahua boy who loves to play with toys, chew on bones, and, more than anything else, to sit in your lap and sleep with you. I know those all-important commands “sit, stay, and potty” (not all at once though!), have perfect leash manners, and love “big” people (I’ve never been around little kids), so all I need is a new person that I can shower my affection on and I’ll be “good to go.”

Read MoreHi… my name is Daisy Mae.
In my short life, I’ve lived with lots of other animals (and even birds!) and life was one big happy romp until my mom had to move into assisted living and couldn’t take any of us with her. I had a grand time playing with the dogs and other cats, but my very favorite was mom. I have a lovely white coat with a fascinating “angel” silhouette over the top of my head and ears (and that seems to be a perfect description of me!). I was born on March 25, 2013, so you can plan now to celebrate my birthday with a special treat (mom says I like a little hamburger once in a while — and even eat the pickle, so there you go!). There’s more stuff about me that you can read at TALGV, but the best thing would be just to meet me as I know you’ll fall in love!

Wouldn’t it be nice if dogs could talk and tell you about where they came from? Unfortunately, all anyone knows about me (except that I’m a “sweetheart”!) is that I was found in a vacant lot by a woman who tried for two days to find my owner. By the fact that I’m here, it’s apparent that she didn’t, but she did say that in the short time she had me I was very friendly, played well with toys by myself, liked the outside dog house, and that I was sweet and quiet (I never barked so she thought I might not have any vocal cords!). I’m a beautiful black Staffie mix lady with a charming white “bib” on my chest, and I’ve got my sights set on an active, big-dog-oriented family that won’t give a hoot about my background — they’ll just want me for my own sweet self!

Read MoreHi… my name is Fudge.
When I first came to TALGV as part of a litter, my name was “Fudge.” The couple that adopted me changed that to “Blackie” (ho hum … some people aren’t terribly imaginative!), but you can call me anything you want (“Sweetie” would be appropriate!). They returned me after just two months because I “wasn’t working out” since I got on the furniture and jumped on counters (HELLO? I’m a kitten!). Well all you have to do is get me a cat tree (which will inspire my climbing on that) with a scratching post at the bottom (which will entice me to exercise my paws that way), and then provide me with some toys and a lap or a spot on the sofa next to you (after I’ve gotten my kitten “ya-ya’s” out) and we’ll do just fine. So if you’re a “kitten person” and know our sometimes-rowdy ways, you’ll be happy as a clam with me!
